Of course, it's about a 40 minute walk from Hamstead, where I grew up.

It’s over rated, but a lovely walk through Sandwell valley.

Oh I agree. The whole area is a massive dump, I kind of hope putin sends one of his special love missiles at it

I honestly quite like brummies……it’s the redditch “natives” who hate being called brummies even though they have the accent, are literally only 10minutes from Birmingham and have the Birmingham postcode…………But it isn’t Birmingham!!

Yep, you can’t use ‘Brummie’ anywhere north of M5 J3, or it’ll be off to A&E for you….

I don't see why, as someone who is originally from Birmingham and now living in Redditch I can honestly say I'd mich rather live in Brum! Redditch is basically endless dual carriageways, big islands and new housing estates! Nice if you like that new estate thing I suppose, but nothing on the vibrancy on Bham!

It’s not just those from Redditch, don’t call people from the Black Country brummies either. The don’t like being tarred as “dummy brummies” was a phrase I heard.

Sandwell has never been in Birmingham,it used to be part of Staffordshire,so were parts of Handsworth. All changed when the West Midlands became a thing.
