I have just seen a push bike rider proceed onto a roundabout trying to get his feet into his bicycle clips and wobbling and clearly not in control of the machine.. should these bicycle clips be banned or just left to the professionals

Ban them as long as people driving motor vehicles who don't indicate, drive in the middle lane of motorways, use mobile phones and get angry at the slightest mistake by anyone else are banned for life?

The thought of using clip in pedals makes me wince.

Maybe the rider needs to practice more away from busy roads and roundabouts.

I've never tried clip shoes. I just ride flat pedals on my MTB.

It’s not the clips that are the problem Tom, it was the six pints of cider at lunchtime by the sounds of it.

Remember kids, drinking and cycling don’t mix…

This was an adult.. stopped at a busy junction and rather than take the safe route he proceeded when it was clear and could not pedal for messing around with his bicycle clips..

He was a liability.. the bugger was a menace

I’m sure he scared himself and he’s probably thrown the pesky blighters in the bin.

A car pulled out behind him and was left in no man's land..

Cyclists and busy roundabouts do not mix

Agree Tom, they are safer on the pavement.
