You visited a library?

Did you borrow a book?

I realised today that I haven’t been in a library in many years.

The thought made me feel quite sad.

I’m going to challenge myself to make at least an hour to visit my local library before the end of April and bring home a book.

Thanks for reading my post.

Henriette visited the library early last year for some photo copies she informs me.

She didn’t get a book though.

When the little one was littler. Love a library. More should do the coffee shop route to be destinations even when you don’t borrow a book

Can't remember, aot of the libraries are open at times I work and doesn't seem worth it to get a library card for days I have off

Oh my, it'll be absolutely years and years. I would be a teenager I think. That really is quite sad and a shame.

I recall going to the library to have to do research for school projects, in the days before we could ask Google. Kids have it easier these days but whether it's always a good thing I'm not sure.

Whilst we are on the subjects of books I do prefer reading a proper book rather than reading a kindle. I enjoy turning the pages and the feel and smell of books.

I may have to visit the library one day to reminisce.

In the west.

It has been a few months since I got a book out if the library. It isn't for the want of trying but it has reduced the number of books it holds and I'm a fussy git with my authors.

I have been buying books for the last few months but that is about to stop as I will need a new book buy Friday.

I used to love libraries. I loved how quiet and orderly and peaceful they were. I could spend hours there, just browsing by myself.

Then they got turned into noisy and bustling community centres. I understand why that had to happen, but they're not for me any more. Haven't been to one in years.

Last time I was in the library, I shagged a woman in the public toilet, she went out, some guy tried to come in and I pulled the door shut. The next week you had to get the keys for the toilets at the public desk.

Yup, we took our daughter to the library on Saturday and I took a book from a local book exchange last week (have been reading it in a spa today). I'll put one in the collection next time I go past.

Ahahaha I acc rejoined the library recently, I found it was the only place I could get peace and quite to study for a module I had coming up lol. Recently I’ve fallen in love with going there just for the silence lol

It's been a long time.

I am a convert to the charity shop library though. Buy the book, read it, donate it back.

"Surely you must collect and return the books, even if you reserve them online?"

I'll take my brain back to 1998

Having kids helped. But it would be a couple of years since we last visited and yes, I picked up and borrowed a few. Mostly factual and research books.
