On a mooch

Hot nothing will beat a bacon butty, although a fish buttie is a very second.

Cold has to be fresh chicken, ice cold crispy lettuce, cucumber with a bit of sweet chilli sauce. However, any chicken combination is good.

BREAKING NEWS: Just back from the shops with a freshly baked large Granary cob. Cut in half and emptied a little, brushed mustard all over inside and filled with crispy lettuce, vine tomatoes, cucumber, sliced onion, gruyere cheese and thick cut Wiltshire ham and picle. A mini pork pie topped with redcurrants on the side and a few cheese and onion crisps. Half way through consuming it now, slightly struggling but will persevere to the bitter end.

Not sure I can challenge this.

I love Greggs Mexican Chicken Baguettes. I love the Deli baguettes I make (pastrami, Leerdammer, gherkins, American mustard). I love a good Club sandwich or Ploughman’s. I love turkey sandwiches at Christmas, with one or other pickle on them.

But if I had to pick one I couldn’t lose…….I think I’d be back to the bacon and egg. Thick sliced smoked bacon (fried crispy), fried egg, tomato sauce, thick sliced multigrain/multiseed bread.

There was the fishcake butty from the chip shop guy. But that doesn't count IMO. Although I can think of far better things to put on my batch at the chip shop.
