Cottage cheese and cucumber on thin white bread served in the sunshine by a sexy couple we met the day before (and are still there lol). Lean bacon is good too, hmmmm chicken and sweetcorn. Then there's a good sex sandwich in bed, Tony between two girls or a guy either side of Cherry ![](/icons/s/2/halo.gif) |

Either lightly toasted sourdough, with whole grain mustard, butter and pastrami
Or
Fresh soft sourdough, with sliced chicken, butter, Mayo and possibly some avocado. |

Hot nothing will beat a bacon butty, although a fish buttie is a very second.
Cold has to be fresh chicken, ice cold crispy lettuce, cucumber with a bit of sweet chilli sauce. However, any chicken combination is good. |

I make you right, but add some hot pepper sauce to the ketchup but a fish finger sandwich is a dammm close call to the top spot |

BREAKING NEWS: Just back from the shops with a freshly baked large Granary cob. Cut in half and emptied a little, brushed mustard all over inside and filled with crispy lettuce, vine tomatoes, cucumber, sliced onion, gruyere cheese and thick cut Wiltshire ham and picle. A mini pork pie topped with redcurrants on the side and a few cheese and onion crisps. Half way through consuming it now, slightly struggling but will persevere to the bitter end. ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
Treacle cured bacon, cooked until crisp, then lain on a bed of grated extra mature cheddar cheese, covered by slightly toasted and heavily buttered thick sliced white bread.
Your arteries will hate me, but your taste buds will overrule... ![](/icons/s/twisted.gif) |

Seattle opp Pike Place Market used to be a coffee shop.
Meat loaf sandwich (choice of bread), wholegrain/sourdough, lettuce, tomato, american cheese, mayo and mustard. Built like a doorstep with half a gherkin (pickle) on the side.
Best ever! |

Not sure I can challenge this.
I love Greggs Mexican Chicken Baguettes. I love the Deli baguettes I make (pastrami, Leerdammer, gherkins, American mustard). I love a good Club sandwich or Ploughman’s. I love turkey sandwiches at Christmas, with one or other pickle on them.
But if I had to pick one I couldn’t lose…….I think I’d be back to the bacon and egg. Thick sliced smoked bacon (fried crispy), fried egg, tomato sauce, thick sliced multigrain/multiseed bread. |

"Club when done right or just a nice bacon one which I am about to make "
I didn't think there was a right way to do a club sandwich and It wasn't until about 6 months ago the penny dropped when I found out why it is called a club sandwich.
Chicken, lettuce under bacon, I felt stupid for not knowing that ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Thank goodness no one has said a cheeky fish finger sandwich (to my knowledge). I can still have faith in the members of this site.
There was the fishcake butty from the chip shop guy. But that doesn't count IMO. Although I can think of far better things to put on my batch at the chip shop. |
