Manchester but wasn’t exactly for a meet

Was down for a weekend off clubbing and putting it about

Saturday mid day I thought up the insta shag flag had a mid day meet

Before hit the clubs on the Saturday night

Right before covid hit in 2020 around January time

Over 300 miles one way from me. To be fair it wasn't a meet as such. I made a very good freind onlije over a vanilla forum. She invited me up to see her and stay with her. Sex wasn't necessarily something that was on the cards, freindship was the focus. But we hit it off and naturally we ended up in bed together. Well worth the trip, Inreally liked spending time her company. A trip I made again when I could. Fortunately she found a man she is really happy with and married to him now. Unfortunately that's where our times together had to end.

It was a 50 mile round trip to Blackpool. I was meeting at a club, so even if we didn’t hit it off the journey wouldn’t have been wasted.

I would only go further if I’d met them previously and could trust them.

Why is it desperate when you have a connection with someone?

Wow.

If I was desperate I'd take up the offers of "meet now" rather than finding people I actually like and want to meet.

There is no need to be rude about people who value a connection over a squelch and a squeeze.

For someone who takes a photo of themselves in a mask and uses it as a profile pic I'd start there. Actually it was 4 days/nights in the company of a woman where we spent the time looking round the area, cooking for one another and enjoying each others company in and out of the bedroom. We'll worth the journey. Not sure why I'm replying and justifying my actions

"If I ever get to the point where I have to travel such distances to get nookie, shoot me. I couldn't look myself in the face knowing I was that desperate."

In his defence the question is very vague

If a blank profile messages you from 2000 miles away and says “faf?” And you jump at it, that’s a little desperate

But the question is so vague that I could include the 1000s of miles I travelled to go to Disney land when I was a kid.

Obviously the people jumping on him have decided to take it personal and assume he means your desperate or sad for travelling far to see someone you have a deep connection with

Maybe he just thinks it’s a bit desperate in the scenario I first painted?

So instead of doing the usual fabs thing where we all feel personally attacked and jump on someone, I’ll ask if he could explain his comment further. Would you not travel far to meet the love of your life? Or do you just mean “faf” type nookie?

IMO, Distance isn’t as important as the connection I have with someone.
