Probably.
They only hurt. They don't do damage. It's really not scary.
You'll be ok. There there."

As someone who has been stung by these "buggers" innumerable times, including as a small child, you overestimate the harm they can do, and seem to underestimate the ability of British people to recover from a non poisonous sting.

Alternatively people can stay out of the water on account of us being land dwelling mammals. Any time people go into the sea should be at their own risk. |

Some are being deliberately obtuse..
All we need are boons around our beaches that will keep the buggers out and the coastguard should dispatch them quietly and without fuss outside the boons so locals and holidaymakers can enjoy the beach...these buggers float so easy to defend if we organise ourselves instead of poking fun |

So what you're saying is that the British need to be shielded, protected from this threat that will otherwise overwhelm them.
A "threat" that Australian toddlers shrug off.
Truly, the British are weak, in your view. Maybe they need to eat their greens so they grow up big and strong like Australian children? |

Nah, we just need to go back in time to convince our ancestors to become criminals and thus pass on this fortitude that Australians seem to have. But saying that, they would all be shipped off to australia anyway, damn it! |

Ok.
Clearly given the catastrophic invasion of mildly inconvenient fauna, the British people need to be - according to your view - toughened up considerably.

"Some are being deliberately obtuse..
All we need are boons around our beaches that will keep the buggers out and the coastguard should dispatch them quietly and without fuss outside the boons so locals and holidaymakers can enjoy the beach...these buggers float so easy to defend if we organise ourselves instead of poking fun
Oh and there are jellyfish in our waters with much more severe stings than man'o'wars, how do you think we should deal with them Tom?"
Use your imagination Doctor
Every beach should be e protected by shark nets and boons to keep the buggers out and regular patrols.

Some are oblivious to the dangers of the sea...

Fully aware, however it is their territory not ours, we are visitors so should be more respectful to the surroundings we choose to step into. Not destroy or move something because it may sting or bite us. |

You know we live on an island right Tom? Do you know how much coastline we have? That kind of infrastructure would cost billions and quite frankly the government has other priorities than that. |

And when these evil stinging buggers wash up on our beaches then they are in our territory and the coastguard should humanely shoot them.

Blown not swam.
Venomous not poisonous.

Caused by the tide / currents. They don’t need shooting but steering back to the water
If you had your way any creature on this planet you don’t like would be extinct, showing how humans are the greatest predator and threat to it |

"Cape town deploys shark nets.. surely our coastal resorts can deploy some sort of floating defence to keep these buggers away from our shores...
People on here poke fun but a small child may never recover from the poison from these poisonous buggers
As someone who has been stung by these "buggers" innumerable times, including as a small child, you overestimate the harm they can do, and seem to underestimate the ability of British people to recover from a non poisonous sting.
Unless you're calling the British delicate little snowflakes?
A Portuguese Man O War can kill... It's one of nature's biggest killers and lets not trivialise it's danger...
Don't be such a scaredy cat. It's so cute the way the British overreact to wildlife
Hardly over reacting when these buggers are storming our beaches.. why are the coastguard and RNLI not tasering these buggers
It’s not fucking Normandy Tom.
It's a matter of time before some poor tourist or dog is killed and then wait for the uproar.. Why the authorities did not act sooner..
Wake Up People's...
Churchill wouldn’t have let this happen."
It's fuck all to do with me!!!!

It it looks like a donkey and bray's like a donkey then there is a good chance that it is a donkey ...
Same with jellyfish ..
Let me share a tip .. when you are in the sea and see a Portuguese man of war swimming towards you then it's not the time to argue over whether it's a jellyfish or a conger eel ... Just swim as fast as you can ...

I wonder what the ethics committee would say if you crossed a donkey and a Portuguese man o war.
Would it be different than crossing a cow and an octopus, or a horse and a jellyfish? |

If they’re poisonous, then don’t eat them!
If you really want to get rid of them, convince the Tories that they’re cute and about to invade the countryside, they’ll soon organize a cull for nothing more than the pleasure of killing a (semi) defenseless creature- bunch of cunts! |
