"Depends where the straw is from in my experience
I think the question was "how many holes does a straw have", not "how many holes has a straw been put in"..."
I laughed way too much at that |

Can one laugh too much? Can there be too much joy in the world? |

Depends on your definition of a hole. For example a bucket that has a hole in it by definition means it leaks. So if a straw had a hole in it, it wouldn’t work as it was intended. |

I think of it as a hole being a puncture in something. For example a hole in your tire would be a puncture despite a tire having at least two holes already. Shoes have many holes especially when sewn but if you say there is a hole in your shoe we could assume that they are worn and the hole is not supposed to be there. A straw is a pipe that is designed to do what it does . A hole may prevent the straw doing what it is designed to do. |

I know what you’re thinking, ’cause right now I’m thinking the same thing. Actually, I’ve been thinking it ever since I got here: Why oh why didn’t I take the BLUE pill! Oh the dilemma! That’s how this makes me feel! 2 holes! Surely 2 holes right??? |

"Can I ask your definition for straw before answering, as you have not said what type? does it matter even a straw that grows in a field has only one hole "
Fresh straw would not have any holes in it not until it drys out dose it have a hole in that case yes just the one hole.
As for drinking straws they only have one hole that runs the full length of the straw.

The scientific answer would be One, however a hold isn’t a thing, it’s a nothing, the absence of a thing, and the science can get very Jeremy Beremy at this point. Still, I was glad to get rid of this thought to you guys so I could sleep |
