If I turned up for our "social" dressed in a hoody and leggings?
Or do you expect more effort?
I mean I'd wash my hair and put make up on, I'm not a complete animal.
But me 99% of the time is super casual so.... |

As far as I’m concerned, a social is for introducing yourself to someone and seeing if you both get on, with obviously a view to potentially more…
If most of the time you’re a hoody and leggings person then by all means be YOU rather than put on an act |

"I’m offended that you just called it a social.
Ssshhh"
I’m wearing sandals.
And a coat, with a hood up, like a knobber.
Not because of the hoody, because of the word “social”. |

I've turned up for a social in the past in my gym gear. Was meeting for a coffee after work on my way to the gym. Yeah it is nice to dress up but I don't see the need to dress up to the nines either. |

Just out of interest…
What would you wear on a meet?
Or a meet with play?
Or to meet a playmate?
Or a pre social meet?
Or a pre social social with play?

I much prefer a relaxed atmosphere, not stressing over getting dressed up. Plus I want the person I'm meeting to feel comfortable, and if that extends into their choice of outfit, that's fine by me. |

This hoody… does it say “I’m with stupid” in fancy text on the front? |

You could always do just that, simply by placing a small banana down the front of your leggings.
That would be a good observation test for a social.

This animal doesn't wear makeup when she goes on a social. Terrible I know.
I don't mind what people wear as long as they're clean, comfortable and presentable. It's nice when people have confidence in what they're wearing.
I wouldn't wear what you do OP, only because I don't own any hoodies or leggings, but I do wear dresses, skirts and cardigans day to day so would tend to wear them at a social. |

I personally dress up, that’s how I portray myself on my profile. The getting ready and dressing up is a big part of the whole scenario for me.
I don’t do socials unless I’m out of the area anyway.
I really think you do what makes you feel confidant and sexy( male or female). I mean the whole point of this is to hopefully have sex, isn’t it?

"If I turned up for our "social" dressed in a hoody and leggings?
Or do you expect more effort?
I mean I'd wash my hair and put make up on, I'm not a complete animal.
But me 99% of the time is super casual so....
If we are answering this question honestly then yes. I don't expect full on formal dress etc but a bit of effort would be nice otherwise we would assume that you don't think we are worth your time or effort. "
I love the honesty, but wonder if the other person was clear ahead of the social that they would be dressed casually would you still be offended? |

God no, casual all the time. It's not like it's a job interview. In fact if somebody was that hung up on what a person is wearing I'm not sure I'd be that interested in going forward.
Obviously clean would be expected |

I didn’t realise we’d organised a time yet, but a hoody is 100% acceptable, thanks in advance |

Nope, sometimes I forget lippy so I may require a bit of lip service.
Make sure our outfits don’t match. Last thing you want is for people think we’re a happy couple |

"I really don't think many men will care what you're wearing on a date! I think most are just interested in what's underneath. "
Some of us actually want to know more about the person we could potentially be getting intimate with x |

I would like more effort than that, if it was a coffee social then OK but if it was a night out I would hope to see someone looking at their best!
So I'll save my best hoody for the second date? "
Maybe go for your best onesie instead |

I met a woman from here for a social a year or so back. She chose the venue, which was the cafe at the local railway station.
Turned up in a mini skirt, fishnet tights (with extra holes) and a very tight off-white blouse.
Wish she’d worn joggers and a hoody! |

I'd turn up in jeans and either a tee or shirt. Be comfortable and be you. P would likely make the extra effort but I'd tell her to dial it back.

I went to a social once in leggings and a t shirt, a longish one so it covered my bum etc.
Later was told I should have dressed up more and most women on fab did by the guy I'd met.
I just didn't want to go dressed like a hooker or so dressed in a way that made me looked desperate, in a cafe! If you don't like the look of me in normal attire then you can forget anything else.

"You should never make too much effort to do or be something different than your norm as that would really hide from others the real you and that is never a good thing in my opinion. "
Real me = hoodies/joggers/leggings, low maintenance, I can do my make up in 2mins, never get my nails done, only dye my hair to cover the grey's, and unless anybody is going to see, hardly shave/wax.
He's a lucky guy!!! |

A ‘low maintenance’ woman, is there ever truly such a thing, sounds a bit like the mythical unicorn |

In general I try to dress to the occasion, look nice, but that’s what makes me comfortable. It’s always about personal comfort.
If the person you’re meeting has an issue with your own personal comfort levels, then they’re not the right person for you. |

"I've turned up for a social in the past in my gym gear. Was meeting for a coffee after work on my way to the gym. Yeah it is nice to dress up but I don't see the need to dress up to the nines either. "
Bloody hell just realised i did too
I was enroute to a class at the gym and it was the only way i could fit it in
I looked fit as fuck in my gym leggings lol... Oooo maybe that is the way to always dress |

"Nope! It’s a social - casual!
I’d expect dress up if we were going out for drinks and getting naughty!
Oh dam, so if it's a combination of all 3??"
We’ll under the dress up is casual and under the casual is naughty great day I’d say haha. |

Nah but with P there is the chance of her tryibg to hard and feeling bad about herself. I'd rather P didn't burn herself out and was instead comfortable.
