Whether losing weight, just keeping fit, training for an event/competition or sport.

How did it go?

Good, bad, indifferent, it's all

work in the bank.

I'm 2 weeks into a 9 week strength block, just looking to gradually bring strength back up in stages for the rest of the year without picking up any injuries.

Lost 2lbs, hit a squat PR and somehow managed to lose 10kg from my deadlift.

This past week it’s not happened with having covid but the week before was great

I’m going to focus on a lot more cardio myself when I get back and get more cut

Just started a new rehab routine. Three days in and aching all over. Haven’t been able to exercise properly for the last nine months. It’s great to be back, but muscle atrophy over the time hasn’t been the best of things to have happened. Looking forward to the next couple of months having been completed and see how I’m improving by the end of it.

If I’m not active I can get rather grumpy!

I’ve had a rough week as I’ve changed over from evening training to 6am, not my best work but given the shock to my system, I did the required.

Pretty good: week 2 of 4 week mini-cycle so volume up a bit.

Bulgarian split squats on Tuesday left me reeling. Pull day today agrees with me more!

Also need to build a bit more cardio/HIIT back in (or just eat less!): summer's calling!!

I'll let you know when I actually go to a gym.

As I work 12hrs a day, 5 days a week, the last thing I want to do is spend time, (that I don't really have),in a gym full of guys who want to pose in front of a mirror lifting weights.

Was ok.

Squats Monday...3 sets of 4 at 110kg

Bench Wednesday...worked up from a set of 8 @ 57.5kg to a set of 2 @ 72.5kg

Deadlifts today which were a bit meh. Supposed to do 3 sets of 3 @ 127.5kg but could only get 5 reps done. Blaming a late night and lady times for that lol

Also did my first run/walk in ages. Due the old cost of living and the distance I travel to the gym I've scaled back my sessions. Used to go 6 times a week and a 3 of those sessions were functional fitness so am going to try and add cardio in by getting back in to running on days I don't go.

15 mins per day of lower body excercises

So pulsating squats, fire hydrants and donkey kicks, jump squats etc etc

1 hour and a half of yin yoga to focus on flexibility

7-10 mins per day of stretching for splits

And 1 hour of Pole dancing!! Finally got back into it.

Did some climbs, seats, tricks and even an upside down and crucifix while holding myself just with my thighs

Does sex count as excercise? I’m joking x

Because of WFO it's been only two days a week for the last week or so. They have been good days tho. Love running the rack so I'm failing on warm up weights !

What about a gym with a bunch of women and men just exercising, including wheelchair users? Never mind...

Had a good session of lifting on Tuesday lunchtime, felt strong. The wonky left shoulder is holding up. Did a Parkrun on Saturday, pulled in a very good time too, so well pleased with that. Today, I've been pushing off-road, uphill and down dale so it's been more of a shoulder workout.

I'm training for a 10k in May, just hoping I can get round without stopping

Switched to a 3 day full body split with cardio/hiit on the days in between. On my rest day so its a night for a takeaway!

Cardio usually running but I've pain in my calf so switched to cycling and rowing.

Anyone who thinks a calorie deficit is hard needs to try a clean bulk. Even writing a meal plan made me feel sick.

Not a gym person at all but understand fully why people use or go to them and fair kudos to them

Average week for me. Been feeling pretty tired and not getting enough sleep so it’s affected it somewhat.

Enjoyed it all the same.

Need to focus this next week as competing next weekend

Camberley occasionally doncaster

Getting back into it for the last 8 weeks. Finally have the capacity to hit the gym regularly..

Lifts stalled a bit but I am upping my carbs. I'm also getting back into rucking and Muay Thai once a week (it would be more but the gym is miles away- and I need to work around shifts)

Training for Hyrox in 2 weeks.

Strength training in the morning. Cardio in the evening.

Have got most of the exercises in under 4 minutes, some hugely under (farmers walks) some hugely over (burpee broad jumps), so feeling relatively confident.
