So in the near future I’m looking at getting a food truck and selling burritos, where I live I don’t know of anywhere that sells burritos and it got me thinking, what sort of fillings should I use? As I’m not Mexican and I live in Britain I want to go for ideas close to home so throw the craziest ideas you got at me

Some of these I’ve tried before like macaroni cheese or a tika masala… there’s some pretty messy ideas here as well though

If you were selling these weird burritos I wouldn't buy one.

If you were selling normal burritos, spicy chicken, spicy beef etc, with Mexican red rice, guac and sour cream, I would. Simple food done right.

But more importantly, what's the truck called?

Admittedly there are a few I wouldn’t be selling on here, I do prefer the simple burritos just wanted to find some weird ideas to try.

Should my food van start up though I’m looking at Rastitos as I’ve I’ve already a couple of really good Caribbean inspired burritos

My friend owns a vegan cafe and does amazing refried bean burritos. I think I actually prefer them to standard ones.

There are quite a number of good burrito places in Manchester. Perhaps go and do some market research into what they're serving?

I know a cafe in Glasgow that does a breakfast burrito

A full English breakfast inside the tortilla

Hmmmm, the burrito is all about the contents, not just the shape and the wrap. If you put stuff like a roast dinner in there, it would be a tasty unusual wrap, but not a burrito. If you say burrito, people have an expectation of contents, the sauces and accompaniments, so maybe think about being more wrap based where you can put anything in (lamb meatballs, yoghurt and cons cons - mmm), rather than tie your identify to South America

This is the sort of idea I’m looking at, I did a festive one that was basically a Christmas dinner with rice which worked amazingly but you can’t overpack it incase you split the wrap

At one time I used to put rice in mine, besides the obvious chicken/steak, veg, if I was hungry-hungry putting rice in was like an all in one meal.
