There's been quite a few threads about electric vehicles....if I could afford one I'd probably go electric.
One of the worries is running out of juice, finding chargers that are working and available ... For those of you who have electric cars... Have any of you run out or struggled to find working charging points when you need them? |

"What happens if there is a powercut? That's one of our concerns.
Probably smart to invest in a small generator for emergencies like that "
And then you're back to buying expensive fuel to run the generator |

Touch wood, never run into problems yet.
I charge at home which is a massive plus and use the Tesla supercharger network on longer journeys.
If I had to always rely on public chargers, I wouldn’t be quite so relaxed |

Keep a pack of balloons on you at all times.
If you run out, rub them against your hair to create a static charge and lick the charging point to transfer electricity.
Doesn’t work if you’re bald.
The balloon rubbing I mean, not the actual car. |

How much is a charge from a tesla supercharger at say...leigh Delamere services and how long does it take you for a longer journey? |

I am quite sure these were the concerns when petrol cars were becoming more popular, but it soon became second nature to us to use petrol stations.
I see electric cars in a similar way, just a revised method of fueling a vehicle which I need to adapt to... and will adapt to.

Model 3 Long range gets about 270 miles in winter and 320 in summer. Never had to charge from zero but would probably take around 45 mins at a supercharger and cost £15+ depending on the location |
