Which pub are you in?
As for running Towneley Park is where Burnley Parkrun is and is quite a nice run, no traffic, all paths (tarmac, gravel and sand) |

Get on the canal the embankment is stunning
I get on in town Centre and run down the embankment the mill owners built it instead of loads of locks
