Where’s your best social location?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Do you have a ‘goto’ when you meet for a social to see if you want to get sexy with someone?

A coffee shop? Pub? A public park with lots of witnesses?

Do you go as far away from your local town or stay close to your home? Do you meet up at your place?

For a guy who needs to get out more, I need the lowdown on what’s popular and what’s a no-no.

Costa

Coffee

Cake

No fingering

Then if you like them onto a bar, if not I'll call at Tesco on the way home and buy wine.

I’d like it.

We both know you’re eating mine too though.

Wait, I also don’t want to get fingered.

If you’re buying a pasty then yes.

Just like Halfords is better than McDonald’s if I’m buying a bike.

We’ve been on walks with 2 single females (separate times), in the woods too…they were popular walks, so people were around, but quiet enough to chat.

We’ve met others for coffee.

I find a nice walk in a park as the best place for a social

Your out of earshot from most people and there's always options if you know what I mean

Hefty Hideaway

When I was in Blackpool I favoured the prom amusement arcades for socials. The silly games take away from any nervousness, the conversation and the giggles easily follow. I usually came away with a freshly plucked piece of tat from the grab machine too. Winner!

If the weather is nice, I like to go for a walk and get a takeaway coffee. I feel much more relaxed outdoors meeting someone new.

Greggs coffee is better than Costa. Shit, McD coffee is better than Costa.

However, Costa has a substantially better ambience for a first meet.

I’ve always let the lady choose the location for very obvious reasons. I’m happy to offer suggestions if they ask, but ultimately it has to be their choice.

I ask them where they'd like to meet. Somewhere half way between us so no time wasted if one of us doesn't show up.

I don't care what's popular.

Coffee shop or supermarket cafe. Somewhere that sex chat would be difficult.

I have two favourite bars for cocktails, if we want a drink-type social, but always a coffee shop in daytime for me!

Not just because I love coffee, but informal, easy and not too intense. I have a favourite just off the South Bank, but if they're happy to come to one near me, I can promise them a cafe that delivers what is the best banana bread I've ever had!
