Romantic is a bit of a tough decision. Though I think that may win, would need to think more though. I honestly believe I could live without either.

But no love, at all, ever from or for anyone? This would mean from your parents, your kids, your friends and family, even your pets. That is a very unenviable and lonely life.

I like this answer because it’s something I hadn’t considered. Finding good connections that don’t end up being love or result in love are still beautiful. But I would ask why you say it doesn’t have to get heart breaking or if you mean to say heart breaking? Do you think romantic love always has to end in heartbreak?

It's evolution. It has to be love for most people because sex comes and goes (as it has to) and real love sits in between. It's how we've evolved. Without love there are periods with neither: it's a logical thing.

Some people can live without love for sure, though people making a thing about it always makes me a little suspicious of genuine underlying enthusiasm in this.

Picture an example of the 'real thing'- the final product if you will. Search your brain's database - don't claim it doesn't exist. Would you turn that down? To have that even in theory? Or has your ego been so bruised perhaps that you'd rather not take the risk? Hearts themselves are pretty resilient I find.
