Well it was not long after the war and during the cold war. Could well have been propaganda or the other theory is the since the nuclear bombs went off in Japan we have been visited more times by aliens so I don't know. |

You've got to admire Drake and his equation.
I don't doubt that his numbers are probably ballpark correct. The problem is that space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is (Adams, not Drake).
And as faster-than-light-speed travel is impossible outside of science fiction we're unlikely to ever hear from an intelligent alien race, never mind meet one. |

One of my beliefs is that in the quest to travel faster in space getting close to the speed of light we will trip over the discovery that we can easier travel in time & that our visiting aliens were really us all along.

Living amongst us? The chance of aliens living amongst us and being the same form as us is so astronomical it's absurd.
Is there life out there? It's an almost definite yes. In the millions of years since the big bang there has been millions of life forms on just our planet. To say there isn't another planet in the vastness of space that can support other organism is so blind it's laughable.
These other life forms, are they at the same level of existence and development as us? Are they still primordial soup or a super intelligent being? In the massive expanse of space and time we need a reasonable amount of coincidence for us and another developed life form to be at the same, or more advanced, stage of existence for there to be a slim chance of communication let alone actual convergence |

there are still no flight zones all over the poles , even to military personal, RAF etc , there must be something there to have these conditions. if you look at places like pumapunku , they were moving stones over 200 tonnes, we cant even do that today with the tech. we have, the Hstones on that island are classed as laser guided precision, they didnt even have copper tools when they were made |

I believe we have not had actual alien contact since roswell.
I like to think that's how we made the jump from a caveman to something resembling modern humans.. The pyramids.. And other mind blowing feats that were inconceivable at the time and still to this day.. I think we had help getting the knowledge used to create such monuments and new technology. In the past.
Then humans do as they do and destroy. Made weapons.. Say the aliens came back to roswell.. Say we shot them down. Killed them. Dissected them. Maybe they are giving us a wide birth. Watching from a distance now. I wouldn't come back to enlighten us after being shot at..
Who knows really. Nobody we all know that's for sure. I do think it's silly to think we are the highest form of life. There is definitely something smarter than us out there |

An advanced alien species that has developed (impossible) faster-than-light travel through vast, inhospitable distances in space ends up crashing or getting "shot down" by our presumably "primitive" human weapons at the last metaphorical millimetre of their journey?
I'm sure that sounds plausible to some. |

Fire would have seemed impossible.
Your phones tech would have seemed impossible less that 100 years ago.
It is definitely not impossible to think the weaponry available in the 60s could shoot down aircraft. And that's the weapons we know about. |

That's not how the burden of proof works. Also you can prove a negative. That's why our legal system is the way it is.
You made a claim. It's up to you to prove it.
Personally I don't buy the aliens but them for one very simple reason. An engineer knows how they did it. The various holes and marks on certain surfaces indicate they used single gearing and pulley systems. However, the egyptology crowd are notoriously stubborn when it comes to accepting they might be wrong about something. So it'll be a while before his theory is accepted as true. The images and animations he made showing how it not only worked but was actually pretty easy to do has me more convinced that any other theory I've heard. Ocams razor and all that. |
