Good evening Ash and nocturnal deviants. Today has been weird. Did a bit of work from a café. Dealt with a LOT of COVID positive staff and otherwise absent people. Ate a vanilla slice. Life is a rollercoaster |

Evening all…
Thought about heading in to work on the bike but wimped out at the weather, thought about taking the bike out to get some exercise but, yeh the weather… aimed for the gym this evening but ate a sandwich and watched tipping point instead…
Not been the most productive of days… still there’s always tomorrow. x |

"As usual, I’m catching a movie in the dead of night, after my women have gone to bed.
Tonight’s is a classic, Back to the future.
Great Scott!....that really is an 80s classic.... "
To be followed up with an even bigger classic.
One that I’ll “need a bigger boat” for. |

We're always here every night chatting nonsense about serious things like chip butty's....
Thank you for the warm welcome, however I'm somewhat alarmed by the barm word. As a northern lass it's definitely a bread bun
I’m from Manchester and it’s always been a bacon barm!
Born 20 miles down the road in East Lancs, Bacon butty, Manchester feels like it could be bacon barm or sausage bap?
Im now thinking it depends on the meat?!?
I think barm is fairly Bolton and Wigan -centric, to be fair! Possibly Bury as well?"
That’s some “barmy” knowledge… I’ll stick to my baps…. |

Ha! I asked for baps when I first moved to Yorkshire and was met with gales of laughter. I didn’t know that’s what they called boobs over here. |

"I bet the people that call it a barm of same people that call lunch dinner!
Who supervised the midday meal at school? Correct, the dinner lady. Ergo, it's dinner "
Deffo dinner. Breakfast, dinner, tea. Unless you go out to a restaurant, in which case you go out for dinner, at tea time. |

I mean, we also used the derogatory word "dinnerbag" for the ones who shouted at us and wouldn't let us eat our yoghurt first, but they were always dinner ladies. Even at secondary school. I believe nowadays they are called "school meals supervisory assistants", which is a bit of a mouthful when you're 7 |

"Oh god, can someone please order me to bed? My inbox has devolved into faf?s but I can’t tear myself away. "
I find most messages sent after 11:00 p.m. are not worth reading and those after 1:00 a.m. should just be instantly deleted. |

So true - though someone has just engaged me in a very interesting conversation about astrophysicist John Gribbin which is certainly unexpected.
Thank you all for my marching orders…off to bed forthwith! |

Hey ash hope you and Lorna are okay, I’ve been working yesterday, was threatened with getting my head kicked in but it’s all in a days work!
Come home find my next door neighbour arguing with someone else that the kids have a right to play on the street, we even compromised with a foam ball!
Then I go get in shower and hell breaks loose there’s some guy that lives behind me chasing after my youngest and his mate was going to follow with his dog until he saw my neighbour outside!
Reported to police as not only did he chase after him, he grabbed hold of him!
