Bastard has so many uses.
'Oh, you bastard' - when one is tickling a ladies fancy.
'Fucking bastard' - when one has hurt oneself.
'I'm telling you, you bastard' - just before physical violence begins.
Or just plain 'bastard' when one needs to clear your thoughts.

Well as I didn’t (technically) stub my toe cause the inanimate object moved to intercept my foot it’s usually a tirade about the fucking thing about to get binned. |

Most of the above cover my expletive tirade.
I used to work with a guy that had a theory that if you studied BOTH little toes at the same time you die. His reasoning was that you do the "stubbed toe dance" in a different direction for each. If you stubbed both toes simultaneously your brain can't work out which way to turn so it just switches off. |
