Is it to early to crack open a bottle of wine or two. Asking for a friend

Somewhere in the world its not. Since no one seems to stipulate where that location is you'd better assume it's your location to be on the safe side.

Enjoy.

"Is it to early to crack open a bottle of wine or two. Asking for a friend "

-Mate your title, four words one spelling error. It's what people see, whether they respond or not. I don't normally care but around half of what I see on here is misspelt some days.

ffs why is it so much?

Why is this an issue. Maybe some people just can't spell correctly or maybe they made a mistake. Either you have OCD or your life is far too easy.

--That's my two choices is it?

The title is the one thing you can't change here. So many people won't even spend 2 seconds on them though - it's a fair point to bring up the amount of it, that is hardly OCD.

Personally I value far more the content of what is being said than a spelling mistake here or there. It's perfectly clear what was being said. As a dyslexic if more of the world was like you I would not have been as successful in life as I have been and attitudes such as yours would have deprived the world of many great people. If you find value in nit picking people's sentences rather than what they have to say this in my opinion is sad. But we are all perfectly entitled to our opinions and our pet peeves.

--- No 'pet peeve' here - I always stand up for spelling mistakes, often quoting dyslexia! In my post (if anyone read past the first line) I said "I'm not normally bothered!" So please - don't talk about my "attitude"! This was a 4-word title, you can't hide that behind dyslexia (which I have had via an illness btw) - it was just fucking lazy.

I think it's just the .5 of a second attention span on here - some people seem to be genuinely proud of it! But the sheer amount of it makes the place look truly moronic sometimes (ie rather than just gnomic, which is clearly the intent).-

I don't personally see why it's a huge deal on what is a pretty informal medium? In such a setting surely its OK to bang out a quick entry without the pressure to check your work? And to be fair I often check the stuff I write and still can't see the mistake. I just don't see the beef.

It's not just making an error (I typo'd myself above) but how/where it is done and how easily. Sometimes it's like 0 effort made - as if it really doesn't matter in any way at all. But if it doesn't bother you that's just a personal thing.

I don't personally see why it's a huge deal on what is a pretty informal medium? In such a setting surely its OK to bang out a quick entry without the pressure to check your work? And to be fair I often check the stuff I write and still can't see the mistake. I just don't see the beef.

--It's strange to me that ppl can't see an issue at all, even if it's not ultimately agreed with it. As I say it's specifically the actual amount of it I see - not the 'it' in itself. It's not just making an error (I typo'd myself above) but how/where it is done and how easily. Sometimes it's like 0 effort made - as if it really doesn't matter in any way at all. But if it doesn't bother you that's just a personal thing.

In the grand scheme of things....

Why does it matter?

Ok so the OP made an error...big deal! It's supposed to fun "

Exactly. Let's get shitfaced x

-Haha love it, you're just so extreme.

I'm truly sorry for "derailing" this important thread though people, and I know could be ages before another like it comes along too - so I'm sorry for so-rudely sabotaging this long-awaited and much-needed peer-related debate! I'll feel guilty about my gross interventions for ages.
