Hello! Better late than ever!

I’m still battling my anxiety but kept busy today so that has helped. Had some news today and about to enter a new phase of my studies so that’s quite exciting! I’m also enjoying the more relaxed days of the hols without school and college runs to do.

So how are you feeling?

Glad to hear you feeling more positive. My self I'm still feeling low but that mostly down to my health issues. Also working alone does not help. I had a word with my bosses to try and make sure that someone comes to see me on a regular basis hopefully that will help a bit

Happy for the positive things for you OP. Good that you kept busy. And that your studies are going well!

I am having the shittest time and mostly want to cry all the time. Just trying to keep my mind off it though.

I'm quite emotional after this afternoon's counselling session. We've been discussing my past relationships and how I've always put my partners first. History is repeating itself with my adult son now taking me for granted. Thankfully I've got a 10 day holiday starting , so I get a break from the drama. Chance to recharge the batteries.

Glad you’re coping with the anxiety - it’s a b*gg*r, but there’s ways of dealing with it.

All reasonably OK here. Nothing exciting, but nothing stressful today

PTSD is really kicking me at the moment. I am trying to do the engaging, witty stuff on the forums, in the hope that if I act happy, I will feel happy.

It works to a certain extent, but boy oh boy, my head is not a good place to be alone in right now.

It was a good start but I'm just feeling so low after speaking to my mother. Who informed me that my sister and her husband will be over from Ireland, in the summer to take my parents away for a few nights somewhere. Proving yet again why I've never felt part of my so called family

Self-care is good! Counselling is positive but can be so tough when you’re in the middle of it, I hope the break does you good x

It’s honestly exhausting, it changes shape all the time for me too, lately I’ve been having a lot of bad nights. My husband is away tonight too so I’m dreading bed time

I've spent the day in court battling a dodgy landlord and trying to delay being evicted from the flat I've been renting for 19 years.. My landlord is shady as fuck, and being Honest to a forum of strangers, it's been a long time since i have felt as close to checking out as i have recently. But im not going out like that. Not for some shady landlord.. No way... Stay strong people, even when it feels like you are at the bottom and can't get out. There is always a way of working things out.

Hi Lou, I would have messaged you but I'm out of your age range so I'll put it here.

Just in case you're not aware, there's a group that deals with anxiety called Emotions Anonymous.

You'll find them online (there is a UK group) and they've helped me in the past.

Please feel free to message me if you'd like more info.

Fully agree with this. One of my parents side of the family neglected me throughout my childhood and excluded me from stuff. I went on to get a career and do relatively well for myself. They now like to use this as a method of making out they’ve family who work in professional careers as their children have jobs all be it general jobs which is fine but like the fact my job would be regarded as a professional job and like to use it to impress people even though they barely speak to me. Families eh
