I went through it myself seven years ago and survived, going through it again for the second time but still here, still chirpy.
It's not as scary as it used to be years and years ago.
I've noticed how much treatment has come on in just the few years since my last op and treatment.
It is one of the most common cancers for ladies and, I think, one that medical science has achieved successive progressive treatments for, compared to even 20 years ago.
I wish your lady friend well and if you or any people reading this know a family member or close friend going through it, may I suggest Macmillan are a marvelous charity organisation for support and counselling for not just the victim but the victims support group too ...... very often the husband or partner feels helpless and at a loss or in need of support and Macmillan gives that in a very encouraging way.
Good luck to your lady friend and to you too. xxx |
