There's always knowledgeable car people on here.

Cold blower and AC smells. Warm air fine.

Do I just need to change the cabin filter? Or does the AC need a service ? But it's the cold air and the AC.

This happened to my car, I had an AC flush and re-gas for about £45 I think, it sorted the problem out.

?

Might just be your cabin filter that needs changing if you have one...good to do regularly anyway and cheaper than a re-gas

You can get a sanitising spray. Just put it on recirculate, activate the can, shut the doors and wait for a while..done it fairly successfully a few times..better with a new cabin filter first

Changing the filter is just a matter of figuring out how to get to the bugger...you tube usually has something. Did my daughters in 3 mins flat yesterday..even though it's the first time i've looked at it..

Either your filter or it needs a regas and an air bomb.

You can also buy the gas online, most servicing jobs can be done if you watch the videos and have the tools.

It does sound like the pollen filter needs changing

100% try that first as a cheaper option, likely unused all winter so may have mold spores. Halford do some I think & make sure you follow the instructions.

The gas inside the air con system has nothing to do with a smell inside the car, smell is going to be contamination in the air flow system change the filters and use a sanitizer treatment inside the car
