'Designer clothes' is just another con of the fashion industry. All garments have either a designer or design team it is just that most producers market for mass sales rather than fewer over priced ones. |

Designer clothes are for some people they are not for others , some people will not send their kids out in anything less but to me a total waste of money but like l said it all some people will do , they just are loaded with money , personally l think always of along the lines of the song lyrics " sometimes the clothes do not make the man " but each to their own tbh if they want to buy expensive clothes ..off they go .  |

Designer clothes are for some people they are not for others , some people will not send their kids out in anything less but to me a total waste of money but like l said it all some people will do , they just are loaded with money , personally l think always of along the lines of the song lyrics " sometimes the clothes do not make the man " but each to their own tbh if they want to buy expensive clothes ..off they go . "
And if they do don't bring the little darlings into my Nursery and kick off because Princess Chardonnay has got a tiny speck of paint on her Jimmy Choos or whatever they wear or that little Billy Bob covered Princess Chardonnay in glue....PVA glue at that....It's Nursery not fashion week in New York  |

Now I could accept that the corrupting of chocolate cake in this manner is an unpopular opinion. I am, however, happy for people to supply good examples avocado adulturated chocolate cake to try and change my mind on the issue. |

Buying designer clothes in general is a waste of money. I do buy them myself sometimes but only because i like the design. It's usually trainers or jackets mostly but this buying a plain £800 white tshirt is just mad.
I feel a lot of people buy them to impress others and don't buy then because they like them, and most designer stuff looks hideous.
Yous ever seen the balenciaga stuff? Wouldn't wear it if it was free. |

I absolutely love "Another Rock N rolling Chrisrmas", and refuse to give it up on account of him being a fucking reprehensible beast. Once the radio stops playing Michael Jackson foe the same reason, I'll give up the glitter songs. |

Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges. Glitter wasn’t. It’s a good song but I don’t listen to it. |

We totally agree with that but if someone is in the position to spend large sums of money on their child/grandchild than great.
We prefer not to spend heavily as they grow out of stuff so fast. |

Yes but let's be honest. Most people don't have a clue what actually designer clothing is.
If its on a hanger in a shop and has HUGO or RALPH LAUREN in massive letters across it, or even small letters. It's not designer. It's mass produced off the rack clothing with a brand on it.
Designer clothing is only recognisable by people who are either knowledgeable about the designer or regularly can afford to buy thier stuff.
This off the rack stuff that makes people think they are better than everyone else simply because thier sweatshop merchandise has a higher price tag is hilarious. As one poster said already its all made in the same place. The factory that churns out expensive named product will often also be making the cheaper stuff. It all comes from exactly the same place. |
