I think if people quote you directly then can they not get pulled up by Admin as they're trying to make direct contact? Whereas if it's a massive thread with various points of view you could argue it's more of a general discussion? |

because if you have blocked someone you obviously do t want to interact with that person but then you reply to their posts. Seems strange to me that's all |

Some people block others on the forum because they've posted something that puts them off meeting or interacting with them. Be it conflict of interests making them seem incompatible or personality |

Your profile says to block you if they don't fancy you. Now I'm wondering if by not blocking you, you'll assume that means they do  . Maybe they don't fancy you but are happy to interact in the forums. I do with many people I don't fancy. Am I doing it wrong? |

Because they want to. They may enjoy the interaction on the forum but don't want anything to do with you away from the forum, and that shouldn't be a problem for you. No point in wondering why people do what they do, they do what they choose to. End of. |

OP you have made some big assumptions. You state that people block others because they don't want to interact with them - that is a false assumption and I know it's false because I've blocked people for a variety of other reasons.
You also assume that the person replying on the forum remembers the fact they've blocked you. There are dozens of names in our block list - I genuinely cannot remember a single one or why they were blocked other than that it would have been for a good reason.
Other people's behaviour becomes a lot less confusing when you don't assume they think and react to situations in life the same as you.

Commenting on a forum has nothing to do with blocking someone that you don’t want to meet or don’t want to receive messages from. |

Interacting on the forum is simply interacting with all on the forum.
A block from private messaging suggests they don't want to get involved in private messaging as a meet isn't likely.
Now, if they were openly flirting with you on the forum, that's confusing  |

I’ve tried but I don’t understand the issue really. For instance I got blocked by a lovely lady yesterday after a brief conversation to suss each other out. I don’t think she was wrong to block me. That’s all good.
She blocked me as progressing anything towards a meet is not what she wants. Will she potentially comment on the same threads as me? Maybe. She might even comment about a post I put up. Again, that’s fine. But she doesn’t want me to message her privately.
If we all think about it, it just means we are expected to respect each other’s values, points of views and decision. I’m absolutely down with that.

They may have blocked you because you aren't what they are looking for meet wise to stop you both blocking up each other's local searches
But that doesn't mean you don't show up on the forums or they can't comment on your posts, they may find them interesting if think they have something valuable to contribute
You should never take a block on here personally, it's just another filter mechanism |

Thats what blocking someone means to you, but others block people because they don't think they'd be sexually compatable so don't want them appearing on their searches
It's like winks some people use them like a tinder swipe, if they person winks back they'll message, others myself included never look at winks
We all use different options on this site differently, none of us are right or wrong in how we use the site, it's just what works for us
Whoever blocked you may think you're a decent guy would say hi to in the street, have a coffee/catchup like chatting in the forums but isn't interested sexually, don't take it personally |
