I must be getting old because, as a young guy I had the lot. Ford Capri at 18, and several Capri's after that. I had my first Jag at 23, my Dodge Charger at 24, and my Datsun 260Z at 25. The list is endless, and I actually nearly became the laughing stock of Great Britain over cars, but thereby hangs another tale. I still have quality cars here, but my favourites are my two wheelchair adapted vehicles that I bought to get my disabled mum around, who has vascular dementia, when we couldn't claim mobility allowance because, you can't claim DLA if you become disabled after 60 which in turn bars you from claiming mobility allowance. With those specialist vehicles I make a lot of things happen that otherwise couldn't which I find very rewarding. Funnily enough though I also don't go short of attention and respect while I'm at it, mostly in supermarket car parks, and seaside locations especially from women in similar circumstances who have a disabled person to look after. |

I always lived Capris until I drove one. It was a 1600 model, no weight on front end, steerung was crap ans drifted all over place. Glad never bought it. That and a really rubbish Orion that spent more time in garage than on road did put me off Ford's for years. |

Had some flash speed machines which are fun but years ago we had a family bus of an XC 90 (old generation)for family holidays, days out. It drove like a boat and was bad on fuel but as a family car it was awesome. Seat combinations, storage pockets, pop up tables drinks holders etc etc and all with really comfortable seats. Brilliant design. |

I just had to get rid of my 206, right when we were having all that glorious weather when I’d normally be enjoying having the roof down. Sadly it was costing far more than it was worth to keep it on the road so I part exchanged it. I loved that little car and had a lot of happy memories with it.

Honda Civic VTI. Took all the VTEC and other badges off so it looked standard and somewhat a sleeper.
Superb engine and gearbox

My 2000 civic type R.
It was the first Civic type r and a Japan only model.
Lost my license in it. Would buy it again, but the prices are astronomical now. |

Mkiv twin turbo aetotop supra with all the bpu upgrades in gloss black. Broke my heart when it got sold because she couldn't fit her pram in the back Even more gutting to see the guy who bought it break a spotless car like that for parts |

Audi S2 Avant. Looked like a regular 80 Estate but that turbocharged 5 cylinder meant it was far from it. |

I had a weird moment the other day, my dog chewed my car keys and they would not work in the car. I found another set, and they did work. Didn't think much of it until I found a third set... and realised the dog had managed to find the keys to my favourite than I had got rid of in 2001... (and subsequently replaced with a similar one years later) |

My dad had one of those in midnight blue, looked fantastic but was affectionately known as Christine as water had got into the engine bay fuse box and it did some weird shit |

"bmw e36 m3 "
Lived the e46 variant. Was a bit temperamental, but what a car!
Toying with the idea of getting one of the last outgoing petrol ones before they are a thing of the past. Really like the look of the planned new M3 Touring! |
