"What fascinating fact have you learnt today?
Today I found out it takes nearly 2 years for a baby flamingo to turn pink....."
Do you know why? Clue: what they eat, not their natural colour. |

I only heard it this morning on TV getting ready for work"
They metabolise the carotenoid pigments in the algae of the brine shrimp they eat. Turns their white/grey feathers pink. That's why it takes two years for it to come through. |

So logically then, if you fed them carrots they'd turn orange and if you fed them beetroot they'd be purple?

"If you have a recurring cold, it might be down to the fact that you aren't having enough rest or taking in enough fluids."
That's interesting because I do have a recurring cold, it lasts for 24/48 hours and goes away as soon as I rest and by default drink more. |
