So other dogs / predators don’t know where they’ve been. Covers their scent.. Which is a bit daft really because anyone who takes a dog for a walk knows they pee 50,000 times within the same area as they’ve just had their poo.

So dog A thinks “I though Trevor had been here this morning…..sniff sniff……I can’t be sure…….sniff sniff……oh!…….yes I can!”

Dog B thinks: “ Dammit Barry!……oh look, a mole hill, I need to pee on that immediately!”
