Sometimes I read all the replies before commenting, sometimes I reply to the original post and then go back and read the replies to see if I want to reply to any of them, sometimes I can't be bothered to read the replies. Especially if there's over 100 of them already. |

Hi JATB
In this thread I haven't read everything but the opening question seems to ask for individual opinions hence I've not read it all yet.
Usually we read the whole thing but not always, rather depends on the conversation and the quality of the responses. |

I sometimes read every response. This tends to be when there is an issue under discussion.
When it's the type of thread that doesn't require cohesive thought i'll shove my response in.
My findings m'lud are that very many people read the O.P. and just drop their response to the O.P. at the end of the thread. They don't pay any heed at all to the direction that a long thread has taken, that advice has already been given, that the O.P. has taken something on board or is putting another point. THESE people are the type that like to talk more than they like to listen. THESE types are the ones that never change their opinions on anything as they are not given to self reflection.
Do I do that at times ...... YES. because ......
1. The responses are too inane or repetitive to read right through.
2. I'm pushed for time.
3. I'm in love with my own idea at the time.
4. I'm just responding to the O.P. and not everyone else.
5. Oft I don't respond to the O.P. but to one of the reply eeeez that has said something of interest or import....
Anyway .... I read all of this one. Okay ????
I tend to read them all...... mostly....... often... a lot.....now n then. |

No.
Some folk post some amount of pish and just love the sound of their own voice. If I see their name on a thread I'll scroll past as it triggers my inner sweary demon. |

I usually flick through to where I've commented, read a few more to see if anyone has commented on my comment, realise nobody is talking to me so I go and find another question to haunt. |

Just the OP and the few posts that were last posted and then I post what I feel anyway which may have no relevance to what's being discussed. I think they call it 'attention seeking behaviour'.
I call it being 'Myself' |
