Completely off piece but I thought this might make for an interesting read ...

Any keen cooks amongst us?

What's for dinner, what's your favourite dish or the best meal you've had out and where?

As I said, I have made a big pan of scouse (stew with spices in) and a big pan of chilli.

Having to stock up for a week or so

Sounds ace

I've mustered up a Thai green curry with chicken and prawns, all from scratch. I like it spicy!

Bristol

Tonight we've had homemade sweet & sour turkey with egg fried rice and spring rolls (not home made)

Dessert will be meringue gelato cake with chocolate sauce (VERY naughty but VERY nice) I've also thrown the makings of a beef bourguignon in the slow cooker for tomorrow night as I will be at the gym straight from work so can walk in to a healthy cooked meal.

I consider myself a good cook (hence he weight issues). I can open the fridge and throw together a great meal without consulting a cookbook and cook a mean curry and naan from scratch as well as many other things.

Lamb hotpot tonight, leftovers from Sunday lunch.

I really enjoy cooking, and love to try anything, don't have a particular favourite style, but do enjoy watching Nigella on the telly

*duffs bussy up! (Try saying that with a lisp! )

Herrings or mackrel are too fishy fish for for me, I think.

Pickledly stuff I think I could try actually.

Question, and dont laugh.... But are pickled eggs crunchy?

I don't usually have an evening meal at home during weekdays, just snacks that I have in the house.

I love to cook, and love food.

Tuts! That was actually a serious question! I'm telling on you!

Seriously though, what are pickled eggs like? Are they crunchy? Are they just vinergary eggs?

I'm a very keen cook. Always whipping up a meal..... Daily cook.... Always make from scratch too avoid jars or packets and don't cook frozen food... Today I'm cooking a chicken korma and pilau rice with mushroom bhaji and Bombay potatoes.... And I have marble cake for later on lol.

Fave dish I've made is a full Greek meze, did that a few months back for some friends as used to chef in a Greek restaurant..... Show off I know lol
