That they should be careful in their choice of procreation partner Having children together connects you for life, which, depending on your relationship, isn’t always a good thing! |

I mean it as a general thing, rather than relating to me specifically. There’s a lot worse out there than my ex! |

I think that's what puts me off having kids altogether. As much as I would love them, I can't imagine how much they would miss out on if a relationship became untenable |

That relationships are hard work but they can be worth it if not rushed. Its so easy these days to think the grass is greener elsewhere. They seem incapacanle of true commitment. |

Only you can truly love yourself. Other people may come and go, however you have you for ever. Enjoy your own company and do things you want to do, even if it's on your own. |

Enjoy your looks and body as they are now because at 30 you will think at twenty your looked good and at 40 you wil dwell on how thinner younger you was at 30 so just be happy.
Take care of your credit rating and criminal record they will follow you |

The relationship ending isn't necessarily the problem as much as the character of the people which I think is what they meant. My parents split up but both continued to go above and beyond to both be as involved as possible in our lives. I had both my parents for Christmas until I was a teenager and for every birthday until I was an adult. My dad still had a key to my mum's house and used to get us from school and stay with us at hers until she got back from work. Obviously your parents going through a divorce is never fun to go through but I never felt like I missed out on anything because of it and as an adult I'm super grateful for how they both handled things. |

"No point in telling them anything, they know everything by time they are teenagers "
I doubt they will get the hang of a dial up phone, or even dial up internet. Don't even hint at the old vic20, commodore 64, etc. era games. |
