Skin care routine step by step!
Jump to: Newest in thread
I'm getting more and more in to skin care but it is an absolute minefield!
I thought I was reinh really good by cleaning my face, using a hyaluronic acid serum then moisturising but it turns out you're meant to moisturise first then HA, then a hydrating mist after....
And what is retinol and when should I use it?!
What do you do? |

I don't know if you already follow her , but in case you don't, I can't recommend Caroline Hirons, her blog, and her book Skin Care enough.
I only wish I had got into skin care 20 odd years ago instead of 2.
My skin looks better now than it probably ever has.

Love that series.
I'm halfway through the third book at the moment - can't wait to get stuck into Four Skin Care though. |

I love my skin care routine it’s so relaxing so yeah, definitely feels like me time and I love my skin now
I cleanse with Elemis collagen face wash
Then light scrub with a sponge
Then I spray some moisture hydrating cream
Do the under eyes with eye cream
Collagen spray
Roller and jade stone
Vitamin c serum by nip and fab
And if it’s sunny then some oil with SPF
Nights, I just cleanse, massage face, then I use retinol drops every 2 nights and put a moisturising night cream to finish off.
And a lip cream
I use a vitamin C mask from garnier once a week. Omg it’s the best! Definitely can’t recommend enough

Use retinol on an evening, after cleansing, then around 20 minutes later apply moisturiser.
Start of slowly, if your in your 20s, start twice a week, 30s 3 times a week, 40s 4 times a week etc.
Don't confuse it with Retinal (tretinoin), which you should build up to.
On the nights you use retinol, you shouldn't need to use an acid. |

Wash with either a wet flannel with just water, or with dermol cream and water. Tea tree exfoliation about once a week.
Then a natural face cream with no chemicals in. That's it. |

I have reacted quite badly to Vitamin C, I just couldn't use the first serum I bought. |
