Why is it poor science? Think back to youth no street lighting etc my bedroom was pitch black. Now even with blackouts there is light pollution. It's not surprising it messes about with people's Circadian rhythm. Which regulates so much. But yes us scientists love getting loads of funding and wasting on vanity projects! |

You bloody "lunatic" scientists, coming round here with your research and scientific method leading to knowledge and massive leaps in our understanding. Give it up! |

"Heaven forbid that common sense might become contagious...
We have quite enough contagions going on right now. We're still getting over this one!
Common sense indeed. Is it a pox virus?"
Kinda like squirrelpox |

The Eskimos have over six months of sunshine and they have no problems...
They might as well research what affect does a tin of peas have on your eyesight if you leave it under your bed at night ... |

What is the incidence of diabetes in those living a traditional inuit lifestyle? Since you state they have no problems Tom. Genuine question as I don't know. |

"Does this mean I have to wear a mask in the dark or in the light because I don't want anyone to catch my diabetes.
Confused.com "
I already wear an eye mask. I don't think my face mask would be comfortable while trying to sleep |

I believe so. Chicken pox is definitely a virus, as it can hide in your central nervous system to show in adulthood as shingles. |

"No, the data suggests it helps manage diabetes. The impact of light on circadian rhythms is hardly controversial.
...but to the scientifically illiterate..."

....don't leave big light on! |

"These science type buggers are actually saying that you can catch diabetes by sleeping with the light on . Scaremongery twats
And yes.. it's all over the news"
Suspect its you, not scientist who says you can "catch" diabetes. Diabetes is not a virus. |

I found the story. 20 people studied over 2 nights. I'd say it's more testing out an idea than a full blown, wasting Tom's money, study.
Those who slept in a dim light had slightly decreased insulin sensitivity. This might be because the body has been kept more alert.
Now as interesting as this is, not much is learned from it, apart from some interesting hypotheses.
And if you're going to catch diabetes I'm sure 5G is to blame anyway |

They haven't finished developing 6G, but 7G is definitely the root of all problems. |

"Lunatic scientists that you will catch diabetes if you sleep with the light on..
I hope there is no public funding for these imbeciles.."
But how do you know it's true or not unless they do their research? |

"Well I've always slept with the lights on and have diabetes.
I've always slept with it off and have diabetes.....which is the right way round?! "
Maybe we should have just both slept with a night light. |
