Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Gerry, I am a polite, friendly professional man, I have been watching the the forums since I joined and they look great fun with some real characters, I myself also love a good chuckle and in my day was quite the prankster, I am mainly looking for camaraderie, friends, conversation and just a right good laugh, I like to think of myself as quite cool and laid back, I own a few hip hop albums and also recently purchased the twighlight saga films on DVD, which are absolutely a must see if you haven’t already, I own a few pet shops across the country and that’s where I’ve made my money but gerbils are my real passion, I have won many awards and I am quite the celebrity in that world

That’s enough about me for now anyway

I wish you all a pleasant day and hope we cross paths with some great conversations and real splendid banter

Aw I love gerbils. I rescued two a few years ago. They were such lovely boys. I’m definitely going to take on a couple more and I’ll know who to ask for advice. Never thought I’d be saying that on a swingers site

Hello Gerry! Gerbils are quite cute, bit smelly.

I hope you enjoy your time on the fora; you're right, the Twilight films are truly incredible. Good taste.

Hello Meli, what a lovely introduction, you are right they can be smelly but it is a smell that you learn to love, all I do is look at their little faces and hang magic tree air fresheners around the house and all I see is heaven in their eyes, thank you for the compliment over my film choices, they are a wonderful collection of movies, their red eyes are very similar to red eyed gerbils too

I wouldn’t place my gerbils on a strict diet of biscuits as it wouldn’t be a sustainable diet and would cause many health implications for them but as a treat well of course, who doesn’t love a little biscuit haha

I am so sorry I missed more welcome messages, as you can probably imagine I am often away tending to my little guys, they require a lot of care and attention, I do say it in my profile but I’ll say it again here, gerbiling ain’t easy hahahaha, thank you both Keyser and Cheeky for the welcome, god bless you both, there is certainly no vampires feeding off gerbils in the award winning twighlight movies, that wouldn’t make pleasant viewing, actually interestingly vampires drink blood to survive and, secondarily, for pleasure, this distinction may seem irrelevant, but not all vampires relish draining blood from living things (mostly humans), blood can be compared to food and drink for humans, in that vampires require blood to drink in order to survive

Great question again inevitable, in all my 53 years I have never seen such a thing, my ex wife was not a fan of my four legged friends and never paid them any attention, the trauma from being raised in a loveless household set a lot of them back and took up a lot of my time once she left, to nurture them back to full happiness, so I bet you’ve guessed that boobs aren’t something I’ve had a lot of time for over the years, I hope that changes soon

I guess Gerry is a returning member and I guess everyone else apparently knows it's a returning member except those who don't...

And people say the Forums aren't cliquey

What, did he leave fab to research Gerbils?

Constructive way to spend your time.

Dunno, I'm theorising. Because any other new poster with that much of an interest in gerbils would be rinsed by now.

It’s his wholesome love of gerbils has united the forums

Is it wholesome though.....

How dare you question Gerry’s motives.

Are all Gerry’s Gerbils brown by chance?

Get back to the gym, you!"

I feel like we need to see a Rocky style training montage of him and the Scouse Ivan Drago

"I have a gerbil related question…

Do they use hamster wheels? If so why can’t they be called gerbil wheels?"

I think they prefer tunnels

Had to sign an NDA.

This can’t be discussed.

What I will say though is I’m here…

Tails get caught in wheels, some use them but they really shouldn't

I didn’t know that but then again I haven’t had a pet rodent since the mid 90’s.

What a wonderful question NE, we in the gerbiling game do steer clear of hamster wheels, they are after all for hamsters hahahaha quick hamster joke, but as comperison rightly said, their little tails are prone to getting caught up the the wheel mechanism, and as just another girl pointed out they do love tunnels, I use empty toilet roll cardboard as they can scuttle through quite easily and also have a little nibble if they so choose, they do love a good nibble, hello Jonny too, a pleasure to make your acquaintance, I wish you well this fine day and god bless you

Great question dirtydevil, I have successfully trained 81 gerbils to date in the use of a toilet facility, not an actual full size toilet, they’d fall in and I haven't taught them to swim hahaha, but the competitive side of gerbiling keeps me on my travels fairly frequently so I have been unable to toilet trail all of them so on occasion some do soil in the recreation area, it is no fault of their own of course and the trained ones are aware of this so it doesn’t cause disruption, gerbils only love and it is nothing a quick poop scoop doesn’t fix

Hahaha another great one inevitable, I did own a fur lined leather jacket once upon a time and I have many a patch from my competitions, all jokes aside though I do not suggest you use heavy tools to encourage rodents to play dodgeball, although they can be fast and have great intelligence there are no assurances that they will dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge a wrench, it would be negligent of me to not stress this enough

I haven’t lost a gerbil to anything sports related now for 20 years, the curling incident of 02 is still too fresh to talk about, introducing gerbils to sports is not something to take lightly and I would recommend seasoned professionals, please do not cut corners

Hahaha good jest NE, we all know gerbils don’t have opposable thumbs though, they just wouldn’t have the dexterity for holding a hockey stick, and how small would the puck have to be? The mind boggles at the mere imagination, it’s a rib tickler for sure haha thank you for this, god bless you

Bugger, I'll say it again

Have you ever been tempted to take them to Stamford Bridge and re-enact the battle there?

A most enjoyable thread. Welcome Gerry

Have you read the Twilight books or have you just seen the films? The books are worth reading for the subtle nuances of the characters and love story. Think Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett, Romeo and Juliet, Barry and Paul Chuckle. A classic of our time

My first gerbil was called Gerry!

The second two were Eddie and Bruce as I got into Iron Maiden. Eddie ate Bruce which is kinda fitting.

Welcome dude!
