In a town full of colours

This time 2 years ago I sunk into a deep depression which ended in a breakdown very quickly due to the enforced life restrictions.

The one question nobody asked was how are you feeling

So I am asking you that question right now.

How are you feeling

A bit shit if I'm totally honest.

Hope you've recovered or are on the road to recovery after your breakdown

Do you think nobody asked because everyone was broken at that time?

Hope you are ok. (And everyone else too. X)

Good morning. In 2020 I was looking forward to retirement.due to covid I was asked to put it off, which I did. I do a lonely job doing 12hr shifts and some days not seeing a soul. So at present I'm feeling very low and a bit depressed, as now I still can't retire due to cost of living going up so high

How are you feeling now OP? xx

I’m ok. Today. I take each day as it comes & keep taking my anti-depressants. I was quite angry about 2020. We’d started the year with a dream holiday & I’d planned to be off the meds by the end of the year. My fear was that I would need to increase my dose & become more reliant on then. I managed to avoid this but can’t see me stopping them any time soon

Myself, I'm not feeling great. Lost both my parents within weeks of each other and nearly lost my husband. Its Mothers Day on Sunday but it's just another day without my lovely mum..

Durham, North Yorkshire and can travel

Im just living a day at a time right now. Currently we have so many pressures on us, both mental and physical, working very long hours, huge workload, it can all be overwhelming if I think ahead. I just look at what I need to get through today. We are making some important decisions within our business and the future of our business is a little uncertain and frustratingly beyond our control. I am so thankful every day that Mr is my rock, calm and supportive.

Really sorry to hear you're feeling so bad. Is it worse this time of year for your flashbacks? Don't apologise for what you've said, you've no need. Acknowledging how hard it is might help?

I'm ok, just finding the fact that my own and other people's health a little difficult to deal with as it's pretty much out of my hands, which causes stress which just makes things worse. Feels like I'm a little doomed

Morning OP. You know that’s the first time I’ve read that in a long time or been asked ‘How are you feeling’.

I’ll be honest this time last year I was in a shitty job. Constantly being harassed and singled out. Always drained mentally and physically.

My work friends thought there might be an element of unbiased racism, only I didn’t know this or couldn’t tell because I’ve been blessed to go through 28 years of my life without suffering from it.

Fast forward to now. New job working from home occasionally but office travel. Got great mates and recently attending clubs.

Life’s good (not a brag), could do with exercising a little more.

However, a quote that’s always stuck with me after seeing it in a Art exhibition in Glasgow “You are a traffic light in control of your own decisions”.

In regards to other Fabbers - if ever you feel at a lull or whatever you can reach out. Not the greatest with words but I’m a good listener.

Stay safe x

Stoke area

I am struggling with anxiety and depression at the moment. Dealing with some manipulative family problems as an unsupported adult is traumatic. I am receiving counselling and know that I have to stay strong , and that by the summer things should get easier. I've found that telling a couple of friends what's been happening, has helped me enormously. Getting their thoughts on the situation and being more open about my emotional state feels like a weight has lifted.

I know it's OK, not to be ok.

Hi OP, how are you feeling today? I'm having a decent morning. I always try to do a routine to help my mood. I find doing certain things help me enormously. Two things include writing a gratitude journal..just thinking about one or two things I'm grateful for each day puts some things in perspective. I also like to walk each day and the fresh air particularly in a park or woods lifts my mood.

I appreciate we all have hugely different issues but happy to share what helps me.

Pretty shit, but getting better slowly. Hid my profile and stayed away from this place for a couple of weeks, but have put every back over the last week or so.

Still not finding much joy in anything but masking it as often as I can to stop it affecting others; not doing too well though….a bit snappy and impatient with nearest and dearest.

Work is just depressing, can’t get into it which isn’t ideal when self-employed.

Back in the day on the pandemic was going on I used to come on here upload videos and talk about mental health, someone that has been through it and come out the other side in a better place. Yes sometimes I still feel like I did back then but it will always be there where it is best to talk. Some people say don't talk about it on a sex site but sometimes you just gotta let it all out

I am very blessed to have a personality that is not disposed to mental health problems, well I'm pretty sure I don't.

The one thing that I have learned in the last 2 years is to show an interest in others and see if I can help.

Good thread op

So, how are you feeling?

I am ok, I have good days, bad days, tough days and days where I just want to curl up

But I am ok, I have an amazing family, a job I love and a fantastic health care team looking out for me. I'm losing weight and getting fitter.

People deffo worse off than me and I think we all can be proud of the routes we are taking towards our destinations

Not the greatest to be honest. I've always suffered with depression, I have some good days and then some bad but I always "battle" through it. I must admit there's more good days recently as I've made changes in my personal life to help matters. I hope that if anyone is really struggling that they speak out and ask for help if they are really finding it hard. Love to you all x
