No, not pictures but music.

What album in your collection would surprise the people who know you?

Given that my music genre of choice is prog rock, my surprise album is Silverbird by Leo Sayer.

It's his first album and very different from his later work.

What's yours?

"I have a 90's classic trance album somewhere

Mostly metal, with a smattering of rock. I grew up listening to emo and 2000s pop punk

I generally like any music that sounds good but I do love 90’s Hip Hop but my first rap album was Will Smith

There should be no shame in that.

Scan carefully through my enormous music library of carefully curated electronica, ambient house, techno, trance and dance generally, and you'll spot... Penguin Eggs by Nic Jones (folk revival guitar and fiddle player), Folk Album of the Year by 1980 Melody Maker - it was his final new recording, as in 1982 he was critically injured in a car accident and forced to retire from performing as he lost use of his hands

Just around the corner

Lemonade by Beyoncé. Very much not my usual thing, but a brilliant album nonetheless.

My Spotify account has been infiltrated. I have BlackPink and too many bloody Minecraft songs.

I have very pedestrian tastes. But I also have the self-titled Violent Femmes album.

I have a very eclectic taste, so I think i nothig would surprise anyone I'm my collection, though a full album of Hawaiian music by Terra does stand out as being a bit off the wall. I bought it for a party night and I fell in love with it - everyone else hates it

Head Banger here, over 200 vinyl albums, but two artists that spring to mind Blondie and Earth Wind & Fire. I Am gets played quite regularly.

"Acoustic Folk?" I'm not sure. It would be a disservice to genre him as pop or rock, Mr MœnGreyKitty.

Alternative acoustic indie perhaps? That's what I would put on the gig flyer if I was promoting it.

On the topic of the OP some might be surprised to find a Simply Red album in my collection.

im into everything..nothing is off limits to me .if its a well crafted song i dont care who wrote it or what genre its in..ive got some weird albums from underground grind core punk stuff but for i have 2 bands that split the room everytime i play them..

1 gong...some of the best musos from the late 60's and 70's doing the space rock thing..most people look at me wierd when i tell them they are my fav band

2 ozric tenticals...more space rock type stuff..the guitarist is the closest thing we have to jimi hendrix today.no one else sounds like him..for some reason most people cant stand them
