So it differs for me
Certain things yes. Others no chance
I hate snakes. No rational reason. But wouldn’t get within feet of one.
Other things I do like to push myself. Almost test myself |

Hmmm.....work or personal?
For work, I challenge convention and get myself into bother, but protect my team with passion.
Personally, I'm on here. That can be nerve wracking for a plain looking guy like me x |

Yes and no
My comfort zone can only be broken in the moment
other wise it’s hard locked but get me in that moment then you never know what could happen
I am easy to push in the moment
The lust takes over and just go with it |

Nope, I try to be as meticulous about my zones as possible. I'll only try things if I know the reward outweighs any risk. It can be boring, but it's safe, and safe is sustainable |

"Yes all day every day.
I live way outside of my comfort zone and go after what I deserve not what I think I can get"
That’s great, do you think it brings growth…? |

"Yes, in a huge way. Things will either work out or they won't. I'm really worried and concerned but just going with it.
Ruby"
That’s brave . I hope it works out for you. |

Sexual boundaries? To a point yes but there are lines that will never be crossed. Professionally? Every single day as I strive to be the best at what I do. |

How can it not when you are constantly challenging yourself to do this that you aren’t comfortable with. The trick is to start and just keep going bigger |

Think the biggest dream you can have and the only thing stopping you is you. It’s really that simple. Learning to get out of your own way is so powerful |

Yes with some things, no with others.
Doing "dangerous" things such as doing a mountain bike drop or jump. riding a motorbike as fast as I can down a country road or track. I push it, I get a buzz from it.
Work not so much. I've never had that desire. Aslong as I get paid enough and enough free time I'm all good. |

Absolutely yes! How can you move forward and develop yourself if you don't push yourself out of your comfort zone
If I hadn't of done that, I would never of done my degree or any subsequent learning.

I think if you don’t push your boundaries you don’t get to experience things in life.
Even those things you are fearful about, and I don’t mean full on dread, but something that gets your adrenaline going, if you don’t try it you’ll never know if you fear it or love it.
Obviously there are some fears you can’t do that with, as well just idiotic / dangerous, so it’s finding that right balance to take that step and knowing the risk involved. |

But those fears can be faced if the reason is strong enough |

"I don’t do it enough in my honest opinion. For myself I think it is usually is a positive thing to break through…
To what end do you think…"
Hmmm that’s hard to answer, I guess it gets to a point where it’s a definite “no” and you won’t cross that line you have set. But sometimes you go around that line and find out whether you like it or not…
Like any self discoveries, that notion you don’t know unless you try it - you might find something you love and something you don’t ? As I did last year, I went way beyond my comfort zone and it’s only been positive since |

Ok I do understand where you are coming from and to a point I agree. Two examples, I’m petrified of fire & water. I’m not going to push myself to get used to fire, unless it is an absolutely necessary to get out of somewhere or someone out of a fire. However, 2 years ago I did push myself in relation to water.
It was the first time I’ve ventured into the sea in 34 years after nearly drowning as a 17 year old. The only reason I did it was my son wanted a photo of a turtle in the wild. I had a brilliant guide who I was very upfront with about my fears, before we even got anywhere near the water. If it wasn’t for him talking me through, keeping me calm and dealing with a panic mid swim, I wouldn’t have gone in at all |

"No, I'm exactly the opposite, I do everything I can to stay well within my comfort zone, the joys of having depression, anxiety, PTSD, mild OCD & agoraphobia! "
You’re doing what works for you. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate already. |

I think the older I get the more I push myself out of my comfort zone.
I was doing karaoke in a pub the other week, dressing as a woman at the weekend.
Oh and I quite like an audience when I’m spanking C in dungeons
I don’t crave to be centre of attention but I don’t mind putting myself out there…

Do you think getting older has some bearing on you pushing more?
I had an audience being spanked last time I was at a dungeon |

For me, certainly this is true. I'm a lot more open to experimentation than I was when I was younger. I'm also aware that at some point, my body isn't going to quite look like this any more, so I'm making hay while the sun shines

Part of my recovery from OCD has involved a lot of exposing myself to situations that make me uncomfortable and cause me distress and just sitting with that feeling until it diminishes.
It has carried over into many areas of my life, I'm not scared to be uncomfortable! |

I wish I could get out of my comfort zone but I'm stuck in it!! Part of me just wants to throw caution to the wind and do all the things I want to do but I hold myself back which is so frustrating |

"Yes as much as I can. But if something feels too much and unbearable I have no shame in taking a step back. You've got to look after yourself too. "
Well that’s wisdom too, and you’re absolutely right |

Could you find a really small step to take, if you want to and it’s frustrating you? |

Up on them there hills |
I deliberately push my comfort zone if I’m feeling stale, onset depression.
It creates a fresh energy, the mind doesn’t like confusion so goes into, “I need to learn something to get out of this confusion”.
Might be as simple as driving a different way to work, see what free swimming in cold weather is like.
Just know if you walk down the same path, don’t be surprised if you arrive at the same place. In that place you haven’t nothing to complain about what life isn’t teaching you, or opportunities missed. |

I think it’s a combination of things…age, knowing we don’t have years and years of this. Barriers are being broken down together and just thinking f**k it, you only have one life!
It’s very addictive once you get that taste of excitement!

Yeah, you’ll tie yourself in knots trying to tackle it that way…..which isn’t much use unless you’re into shibari. |

I really don't have many sexual boundaries..but you know, nobody cuts my hair
So those i do have are pretty deep and meaningful and related to things that would make me panic /totally lose control (in a bad way), and would likely stop all play |
