Hello to all you puzzle nerds!

Stuck on a train and got a puzzle book, yup I’m that person (super cool? ) but my question is do you have a preference of number puzzles like sudoku or work puzzles like crosswords?

My granny used to always do crosswords and I once asked her about sudokus and she damn near looked at me in horror! Her reasoning was that numbers were not her thing but I weirdly find it easier as I know there must be a logical answer whereas crosswords I overthink and I hate that it ends up being such a riddle sometimes!

So, do you do puzzles? And what is your preference?

Sometimes I have more interesting chat that this….that is quite rare though

I like quizzes and wordy things rather than number stuff. I actually work in finance but I’m rubbish with numbers

Number puzzles are my preference. I don't do them often, but completing a sudoku or kakuro is very satisfying.

I did used to help my dad with crosswords. Well, as helpful as any child is. He used to explain how he did the cryptic ones and I just couldn't follow it. He used to hone his skill on them during slow night shifts.

I do like wordle and quordle right now. It whiles away a good 10 minutes every day

I don’t even know what kakuro is! I’ll will need to investigate! Hmmm did he have a system for crosswords? I’ve heard of people being able to do that and it frazzles me! I used to do wordle but I got out the habit! Maybe I’ll have to start them again

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please)

For some reason despite being good at maths, I've never liked sudoku.

On a train then it would be a crossword, I used to read the dictionary as a child!

I'm also a Boggle fan :D

In the west.

I would go for number puzzles. I'm sure rock n roll, when I see 3 digits I try to see how many consecutive numbers I can get by only using the basic operators.

Ooooooo yes! Jigsaw’s are actually so much fun! I need to frame a couple of ones I’ve completed as I love them too much to just rip up and put in a box again
