Small matter of an early kick off today up at Villa Park.
Arsenal fan here, hoping we can bounce back from the Liverpool defeat on Wednesday and get the 3 points against Aston Villa to create some space between the teams around us in the race for top 4! COYG |

You don't get good odds in football simply because theres only two teams involved but if you keep it right and reasonable you will get fun and enjoyment out of it , never let the fun out of it , l have my few teams picked for today and if they all win , they Win .. if they don't ..that's football. |

It's gone beyond a joke tbh , premiership players are being paid lotto style wages every week and some of them are stone useless, they are bought for millions..paid millions in wages to perform every week but they are , as professionals go , stone useless , if l back a few teams every sat l always go to the lower divisions cause they will at least try , l never back premier teams , waste of time , they live in a total different bubble to the real world ..some are overpaid and over rated . |

"My team (Arsenal) are down on the south coast today for an away trip to Southampton. Really need to bounce back after 2 straight defeats. I want 3 points and hoping “that lot” down the road drop points but not holding my breath…. "
--I'm a Gooner too, such high hopes but these runs don't last for ever. Arsenal do traditionally end well though (apart from when Wenger finally resigned I guess) and it's why Arteta still has a job - if I remember he won his last 6 games last year, despite just missing out on 5th place in the end.
Obviously it's vital he gets at least 5th this year whatever his win/loss ratio - with 3rd actually in our sites it will be gutting to miss out of 4th. He's had a decent year but things can change reasonably fast in football, if he misses 5th playing badly he'll be in trouble again I think (even if its tight again with spurs, the hammers and man u). -- |

We’re away to Wigan - hoping we can stay in play off position

"United hopefully battering that lot from south London in 5 mins
They aren't from South London, the only Premier League team that's the pride of South London is Palace. You can keep them north of the river where they belong!"
Yes they were, first formed in Woolwich and then moved north in 1913. So technically, we are/were a south London club. Arsenal was founded in 1886 (as Dial Square) and Palace in 1905, so yeah a good 19 years before hand.
Where dya think “Gunners” comes from? The Royal Arsenal in… Woolwich.
Anyway, happy we spanked Man United today. Feel sorry for the fans who travelled down to watch that utter sh*tshow |

Nope they WERE a south London side but not any more. North London is welcome to them. There's only one Premier League team in South London and it's not Arsenal. |

Fair bit riding on that isn't there, plus home advantage.
It's almost out of our hands now, luckily Fleetwood only got a point last night.
Rotherham now have to win too which gets them bang up for it |

Permeations are insane.
In 2010 we went into the last day 2 above the dotted line, quietly confident of surviving.
4 other results doing all kind of mad things added to our 3-0 defeat sent us spiralling into League Two again |
Reply privately (closed, thread got too big) | |
An eight goal swing and the first win of 2022, with other results going our way should see us safe.
Who am I kidding.
Wombles League two next season. |

A massive game for us at home to Liverpool. A seventh straight home win could see us stay in the top half after a terrible start to the season. It’s very unlikely but we can hope. |

Dundee United! We play Motherwell at home today and badly need 3 points to push for a possible European place. Problem is we're utterly toothless going forward and leaking stupid goals at the back just now. |

Man City are away to Leeds
I don't think it'll be a repeat of the 7:0 thrashing from earlier in the season, but surely it'll be a victory for the Blues

I’d take that. If we can pick up points either this week or next we can basically gift someone the title. |

Everton. They remind me of Newcastle the first time we went down. They think they’re too good for it but have no fight in them. |

Got to feel for Northampton fans…. Travelling all the way up to barrow, going 3-0 up just before half-time knowing all you have to do is win and your rivals don’t beat your result by 5 goals…
So barrow score 1….. Northampton win 3-1
Bristol rovers haven’t scored 7 goals in a single game since 1964! 2-0 up at halftime… then blitzed their opponents to win their game 7-0
Rovers up… cobbler’s in the playoffs |
