Oooh, I love a pair of B3's me.
Missed 2 great seasons thanks to covid, and winter has come so late this year its clashed with other commitments. Last time I was run out 20 meters above a dead man belay chopping through a cornice was in 2020 - and yes I'm missing it. My social media has been filled with fantastic Scottish conditions over the last month and not been able to play

"A photo challenge me and C set for each other. To take a pic outside…I went hiking and found I had views from all angles, so stripped off and took a few pics.

Tbf, I've only placed one once having carried the damn thing numerous times - usually by the time you're on the kind of ground where its the only pro going and might actually work the climbing has got a lot easier and is virtually over. By that point my usual ploy is ignore the steadily increasing weight of the rope hanging below and keep plodding. On this occasion there was bugger all else for almost a full rope length and the cornice ahead looked like hard work. It gave a surprising amount of confidence - 10/10 would whip

But would carry twice the weight all those times to have had it when I needed it! |
