…was out when you met your first date… and do you still like the song?
Mine was Careless Whisper - Wham back in the 80s, I got scunnered off it and couldn’t listen to it for years.
Another song I scunnered myself with was The Bluebells - Young At Heart, played over and over till I literally got sick of it. Still can’t listen to it |

My first boy/girl dance was ‘Boom! Shake the Room’ so that dates me quite precisely (primary school disco )
My first actual proper date though I remember we listened to Queer by Garbage as I had just bought the album. Google tells me that was 1995.

It depends how you define a date but when I was 13 I took a girl out for the first time just before Christmas when the Sex Pistols 'Anarchy in the UK' single had not long been released.
I remember the girls' mum being quite appalled by the words |
