A twat is a pregnant fish.
Its also a word that my mother hasn't put on the banned list of words for when I'm watching football! Great word - every other word about Chelsea's opponents is twat! Hehe... Not sure that's what the OP meant, but its not a Thursday! |

Just remember it was Labour who got us into this mess. Since the Coalition have been in power they have reduced our debt by 25%.
Also remember that it was Gordon Brown who sold vast amounts of our gold reserve for much much less than it was actually worth. |

Living up north I'm beginning to understand that up here it's the same as calling somone a c**t, but where I'm from it's no different to calling someone an idiot. Siren hates me using twat and thinks I'm swearing, especially if we're in the car with the kids in the back (it's mainly other road users I call twats lol) |

New Labour just continued Thatcher's policy, there is no difference, Just because I view the Tories as 'twats' does not make me pro Labour. I think the whole system is a farce and in no way a democracy. You assumed to much and saddled your high horse. |

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
The word test is believed to have derived from a Morsel word meaning a cut or slice, or maybe a forest clearing. There is an urban myth that it means a pregnant fish. It doesn't mean that at all.
Over time it came to be used as a derogatory term for women's genitalia, and then as a general insult.
No fish were harmed or pregnated in the course of this adaptation.
