In my student days, I had the boots of course! In black and in a maroon colour.
Man, those things killed my feet when breaking them in. Are they still like that?! But then when you did, they were absolutely fine and super comf. |

"Do you own or have you ever owned a pair of DMS. We have a fair few pairs between us now. There's so many different styles and colours about these days, what type and colour have you got? "
Three old pairs of boots when the toe wasn't so narrow. I can't wear the modern ones.
I even have a pair of Mary Janes I got brand new for a tenner about 20 years ago because they were concept shoes.

I live in them, I recently bought the soft leather pascal ones and they are so comfy, I have the cherry red 1460 ones and the 2976 Chelsea boots. I’ve worn the brogue style shoes to work for years too, love them xx |

Yes they still need breaking in though its a lot easier these days with the doc socks you can buy, they are socks with 2 layers so the boots don't rub your feet, though I suppose wearing 2 pairs of socks would get the same results. |

"I've got 2 pairs of Jadons, one pair plain, one pair with buckles. "
Jadons are lovely, I purchased a pair for my daughter last month, she had the eyelet version and changed the laces for ribbons. |

Forgot i had some back in the day. Memories of putting on a brand new pair, being able to see through the translucent sole and pretty much living in them and a green bomber jacket!
Maybe too old for them now but tempted to buy a pair again. |

"I love Dr Martens but I read this as DMS directly molded sole which was the 1980s British Military issue boot, which although not the greatest boot ever was a joy to wear. "
Had a pair of DMS as "best boots"

Come on, get some pictures of DMS in sexy poses and let us know!
There's a few dotted around in my profile, though I would like to do more sexier one's when I have time."
How mad is it that i was scrolling down past the tits and pussy to get to the DMS? LMAO!! |

"Hate them lol uncomfortable and overpriced! The DM’s of my teens aren’t even the same quality now "
You have to buy the "Made in England" version - rather than Spain/Portugal ones - more expensive but better full grain leather (thicker and not plastic laminated) and different sole. However Less options for styles (10 hole) and ridiculous price. Break-in still depends on foot shape though so double-sock essential at first. |

I used to have some blue corduroy doccers when I was younger, I bloody loved them and wore them until the soles popped. I've also had plain black ones. Never owned any oxblood though, and they're probably my favourite colour |

Yep, boots and Mary Janes. Love them! My favourite were my oxblood Mary Janes. My ex bf got me some of the skull pattern ones- straight to the charity shop, unworn with anything else he got me.
My lil girl has a couple of pairs, and she also has the sandals too. My oldest used to wear the shoes to school.

Used to own several pairs of them. They used to be made in Earl's Barton and here in Daventry in Northamptonshire and were a gift from German high command after WWII so they really were NSD boots. I think they still make them in China now. |

A pair of black heeled boots. I've been trying to wear them in for ages but they're basically so heavy my legs kill after about 30 minutes of wearing them |

They are expensive but last a long time, the DMS site online does have a lot of sale's though. |

Just bought our teen daughter some white ones and she rocks them, im abit jealous though. |

I used to buy the DM shoes rather than boots as part of my Air Cadet uniform. They were super comfy for drill practise and amazingly easy to polish up to a high shine for inspections |

I had a pair of DM boots in my teen days. He new ones aren’t a patch on the old style. My daughter went to Covent Garden especially to buy a pair recently. Cost £180. They have a zip down the side ffs !! |

The Boy has ox blood and new buck 1460’s plus some black 1914’s!

They’re my addiction. Never really been a woman to buy clothes and shoes, that was until I bought my first pair of docs. Now have a lovely collection. Boots, platforms, sandals, can’t seem to help myself |

I want to get a pair but I hear they can take ages to break in and get comfy. Only they cost a lot of money and my feet are susceptible to blisters on the back of my feet, so I want to know they will be worth it. |

I’ve never had any issues. Walked out the shop and trotted round all day in some pairs. It does depend on the style. Some are harder leather and not as supple. Others have more flexible soles. I wear thick socks to start with, double them over at the top so that doesn’t dig into my ankle or leg |

Well worth it buy a pair of Doc socks or just wear two pairs of socks for the first few outings, they will become like slippers in a few weeks. |

I still wear DM Industrials for work - they are the only safety boots I'd ever put on my feet. I have a clean job so am able to polish them up so you can see your face in the leather.

I'm not sure, all the industrial safety boots are steel, and a lot cheaper. I know Meindl and Haix do a kevlar toe box, for arb. work. |

Unless I need them for something specific, like chainsaws, I don't think I'll buy anything else either. |

It's surprising how many of the staff in our various offices / call centres ask, "are those Docs you are wearing?" I've had Docs since I was about 16years old and I'm 61 now but still love them.

No, not a none metalic saftey boot, they used to do the work boots without any toe cap, but obviously still the thicker leather and better sole |

Had two pairs as a teenager/early 20s girl
Got rid when they fell to bits. Bought a new small pair (smaller size boots) to wear for work. Didn't feel very feminine so gave them to my very grateful daughter at uni |
