My mother's dogs were called Mitzi, Tilly, Jamie, Ivor, Oskar, Barney, Bruno, Babushka (Bushka for short), Sasha, Zena and the extra daft name, Weenie  |

There’s tons off crazy ones out there someone in Mexico trad to name they child scotum
Robocop, Scrotum and Facebook
Officials in Sonora, Mexico released a list of names that were rejected by the government because they could lead to bullying, and these three were on it. (But who would have the guts to bully Robocop?)

It’s quite normal. Not many names that aren’t human names and when was the last time you heard of a dog called Rover for example?
I find it disturbing when people give their cars human names though. That’s just plain weird. |

I think it is a generational thing. When I was younger, I remember Coco, lucky, mopsie, flopsy, patch, rusty, rocky, shadow, shandy, socks, pip, rover, lassie, snowy, spot ...
Then it started Molly, Max, Benji, Satan, Bessie, bonnie....... |

This is an interesting thread. I recently got a puppy..he is a collie and I called him bongo. People presume its a drug reference because of bongs. I couldn't imagine having a dog with a human name.. |

Technically yes she does... but only because Indiana Jones stole his dog's name in the first place, so Indy is also technically not a human name
Last dog totally did though... and really suited being a Bruce. |

Cats - Mitzi and Coco
Dog - Poppy - but she was named that by the person who rescued her and it suited so I kept it.
I always take time to chose a name that suits them. |

One of my cats is called Arthur. The rest are Coco, Loki and Odin.
My chickens were Janet Beak-Porter, Winnie, Britney Bitch and Alison Potato.
Had a Midnight, Eddy and Ruby with the horses and I’ve looked after two Sams, a Jimmy, Billy and Charlie. Current nag is Goldie and the dog is Ziggy…. |

Rescue home already named the dog I got Lily ...
... I have a family member called Lily so thought best not!
As she's an Irish rescued dog I changed it to Tilly ...
Either way she only comes back when she feels like it regardless what she's called   |

Had loads with human names, including a rescue dog called Dylan, a Chilean Rose tarantula called Marilyn and a snake called Bob (she was originally called Cynthia, by her original owner, but I wanted to call her Bob) a lab called Bonnie and a collie called Vlad x
