Dont wanna miss a thing and who wants to live forever opening lines There's no time for us

There's no place for us

What is the thing

That builds our dreams

Yet slips away from us?

Who wants to live forever

Who wants to live forever?

There's no chance for us

It's all decided for us

This world has only

One sweet moment

Set aside for us even reading it stings

Most heartfelt lyrics ever!

Actually have a cassette somewhere of s live gig around same time and it's even more heart wrenching emotion!!

So do many to choose from , ones that really pull at your heart..but here's 4 .."Romeo and Juliet " look up the version where there's a keyboard intro..unreal

" Fields of Gold " Sting .. Haunting to say the least

" Bright Eyes " Art Garfunkel , so beautiful

" A Man is in Love " Waterboys , explains life in a nut shell.

Like l said , so so many to choose from , Music ..tells it like it is .

Monsters by James Blunt will destroy you, I've heard many sad songs but nothing as deep as this song, there's deep but this is the deepest. He wrote this for his dad who had stage 4 kidney failure. I managed about 1 minute 30 seconds before I crumbled.

Both sides now. Just heard it on the BAFTAs & it reminded me of the haunting duet version by Clannad & Paul Young. Currently sat with eyes full of tears lol. Beautiful.

There are more than this, for sure, but certainly:

"Sadako Folding Cranes" by Laura Viers

and

"It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" - The Byrds' version of the Dylan song. Those harmonies...

The corned beef song from Phoenix Nights. Sounds absurd, but I used to sing a modified version of it to my puppy...and it's what I was singing to him as I held him in my arms while they put him to sleep at just 8 months old

My father died just days after my son was christened, but at least he made that.

The living years. Mike & the mechanics.

My dad was only 51 when he died. I was a typical 17 year old always defying my parents.

Never did get chance to tell him how I really felt. Just like in the song

Just can’t listen to it
