..I feel awful about doing it, I just don't have the energy or headspace for a social I'm supposed to be at tonight.
I'm giving 5 hrs notice though so feel that's enough time.
Does anyone else feel bad for cancelling things? |

Yeah I feel terrible if ever have to cancel has social coffee date first in forever last Sunday and when woke unwell and did covid test had cancel.
I haven’t had any meets on here for yrs so was excited but felt terrible made apologies and said once we’ll let’s rebook but instead got called fake and blocked wtf.
Only other time ever cancelled was when got put on call for weekend at work and didn’t want wast couples time was supposed meet so said to em what was going on and that worried if got called may have to vanish and cancel fun esp as it was at mine. They just ignored me since shame as be fun meet |

I think being honest about your reasons for cancelling and if you want to meet another time when you feel better let them know.
I would be disappointed after chatting and arranging to meet someone like yourself. You look stunning and would have been excited to meet in person but would appreciate the honesty and not just not turning up. |

I always feel bad of course but sometimes if you’re not yourself you’re making it bad for the other person too,There are certainly times I regret not cancelling. |

You need do what best for you if went not happy would suck for all concerned if want meet they be happy get at best |

This is true. I guess it happens more often than not too.
We're, essentially, meeting strangers. So, for example, if it was a long term friendship or something, I'd just say pop round for a cuppa instead..but it's not, it's a first meet and feel the need to be on top form. |

I think 5 hours is more than enough time, although...
I have seen guys slaughtered on here for cancelling meets with women at such (short) notice

I’d feel bad for cancelling, but would be worse going when you’re not in the right head space. Hopefully the other person understands and you can rearrange when you’re feeling it. |

We've never let anyone down but plenty of the opposite !!. Don't feel bad, if they are genuine they'll understand and wait for you. Five hours is ok, our last letdown was while driving to their house, 20 minutes away ! |

I've had to cancel a couple before due to "ladies problems", still felt bad.
I wish it was the same both ways, had a lot cancel last minute or no show, that's far worse so don't feel bad about 5 hours. |

5 hours is plenty of time. I'd feel bad but I'd be cancelling for a good reason so tough shit.
I've had someone cancel 10 minutes before. It was shit but it was a genuine reason so oh well. |

We had to cancel a couple of meets recently as K hasn't been feeling too happy recently and isn't in the right head space to meet new people or play.
We both feel a little bit disappointed and a little bit of guilt as we've let them down, but we took the time to explain why and that it wasn't that we didn't want to meet them and it wasn't us getting cold feet.
Both couples have been very understanding and are going to rearrange to meet when we can as both couples have been very considerate and nice (and if either of them read this message then we're sorry and looking forward to seeing you when we can!) if they'd been dismissive and unpleasant then we feel we'd not really have been missing much. |

When I cancelled at 8am this morning for this evening?
Maybe she was getting ready at 6am.
Either way, no one should get pissed off at people cancelling with more then enough notice. Life happens. No one owes you anything |

I cancelled on a couple once. (singleton days) I had a very good reason to that couldn't be helped.
All I got back from them was aggressive harsh messages about how I should have been honest about chickening out. They were quite rude.
Thing is I was quite keen and they had it very wrong.
I didn't bother with couples after that. They put me off.
Regardless of what your reason is for not wanting/being able to go you always have that freedom and choice to do so and shouldn't feel quilty or like you need to explain yourself. Easier said than done though.
