Thought 1 :- why is lent (Pancake day) within the first few weeks of chickens coming into lay? Lent is to use up all the good things to fast before Easter Sunday. If a chicken lays and it's not furtile, it will goto waste, as can't eat it during lent.
Thought 2 :- why do they put mothers day in March? Again half way through lent. So if a mum gets choclates and rich things by kids, do we have to save them to Easter? Was it invented by a man (non mum) so mums had to abstain, and we're they trying to save money for Easter. By saying you have your choclate from Mothers day. I don't need to buy you more for Easter. I know Mothers day is now commercail, in the old days, it was a day off to spend with your mother, rather than gifts.
