I agree with this, though I don't agree with the use of the word rank. We can't dictate what we do and don't find attractive, but it's the simple action of not needing to draw attention of how attractive/unattractive we find something as descriptive and offensive as some people often describe things, especially things others have no control over themselves.

Some people certainly walk the line of needing to state how "vile" they think something is, just as there are those that just have to include everyone. Both are as bad as each other in different ways.

"I like this" or "I don't like that" and that should be the end of it.

I agree, preference isn't allowed here at the moment. Or actually anywhere on social media. Every time anyone says "this is better than that" they have to state "in my opinion, which may not be your opinion but is valid because it's my opinion and I'm a sentient being with free will who is allowed an opinion, this is better than that. And that doesn't mean that everyone has to agree, it just means that I think it".

And then they still get hammered for it. I reckon as long as you aren't actually saying "this is shit and anyone who disagrees is wrong because I know everything and you all must bow to my genius" (or similar), the opinion part should rather just be something accepted as fact and respected.

Oh definitely. I don’t like the word rank either. And I would never say something is horrible on here either. I just wouldn’t say anything. I’m just not into the everyone is beautiful etc and if someone says they love BBW someone else has to say but all women are beautiful. I prefer people who aren’t afraid of upsetting everyone else by saying they prefer this that and the other. Just my opinion. Crack on with the voting. Like anyone’s gonna vote!

Bottom line is everyone should be allowed to state what they do and don't like. If you get offended by somebody preferring X over Y and on that knowledge alone then you need to take a hard look at how fragile you are in a harsh world.

The only time they should be challenged over it is dependent on how they said it. I prefer X because I find Y vile, then they are crossing a line to intentially offend and upset.

I wasn't attempting to make you feel bad - I was merely saying that you chose to make that comment with some idea (I imagine as you seem a smart guy) that others may find it hard to take. Several women here have nominated themselves with the words "I know they're not great" or similar but enjoying the positive feedback from others. Is it necessary to always state the truth (your truth)? A philosophical question. Not having a go.

I didn’t envisage anyone would take the initial comment as hard to take to be fair, and I only replied to HippyChick so we shouldn’t take it as a diss for all the self confessed ‘not great’ boobs that may be been mentioned before. I think it’s a pretty uncontroversial to say, and on previous best boobs threads I think I did actually tread the line of ‘none are the best, it’s not a competition’ on post 2.
