"I'm no history buff but I wonder if there'll be any attempt to resurface it. It looks in pretty good shape"
I wondered that when I saw the piece about it this morning. I hope they don't, the sinking is the history.
It looks absolutely remarkable considering the length of time it has been down there. |

They have a piece of the "Endurance" in the archives of the Scott Polar Research Institute in Cambridge. Occasionally it's on show.
I was there once, when it was. I touched it. I wasn't supposed to but it was there, within reach...I couldn't help myself.
I have a special affinity for the "Endurance" story. |

As they had to use an icebreaker to get to the location, and the wreck is 10,000 feet down, I suspect they won't be trying to bring it up! |

Every member of the crew survived the sinking and also the epic journey to safety. |
