Russia says that they are going to observe a new ceasefire to allow Ukrainians to flee the cities before another bombardment but says those fleeing can only go to Russia or Belarus.
That is lambs to the slaughter. Anyone fleeing to either of those countries will never be heard of or seen again. A choice of die in Ukraine or die in a soviet controlled country.
Absolute disgrace!!

I'm not convinced this is about genocide, rather it's Putin's propaganda. The story he has sold Russia is that Ukraine is rulled by neo-nazis who are carrying out a genocide. All he needs now is pictures of thousands of civilians fleeing to Russia for safety to 'prove' his point. In todays world it is very hard to kill masses of people without anyone noticing - though, depending on where in the world it is, getting people to care is a lot harder. Right now, the whole world cares deeply about Ukrainian citizens and murdering them en masse under the pretext of a ceasefire would be a mistake I don't think even Putin would make.
