Do you like getting a hug on the first date?
Jump to: Newest in thread
"Not gonna lie if I turn up to a date and they refuse a hug at the start I’m probably just gonna end it there
You liked me enough to meet up but your still unsure about a hug? No thanks"
I am not a very huggy-feely person, hugs from strangers or people I have only just met make me feel awkward. I'm sure I'm not an exception.
Also, we need to distinguish between "vanilla date", "Fab date=social" and "Fab meet". Vanilla date - peck on the cheek when we meet is enough for me, most likely same with Fab social. Fab meet- a proper kiss and a hug. |

"Are you talking sex date or a general date l"
Even if it was a fab "date" what's weird about hugging someone, you're gonna be far more intimate than that |

I feel the same. A hug goodbye (if we got on well) is ok but an opening hug from a stranger makes me feel awkward. |

Me too, I like to make sure if the other person first. I don’t see what’s wrong with that |

Nothing is wrong with that at all.
It is entirely possible to be a hugger but still be selective with who you hug based upon the situation.
I'm generally not a hugger, but I still appreciate what they are to and from others. If I got on with said person then I'd have no problem with a friendly hugging, if they still felt a bit distant or I'm still unsure then nope no way is that hug happening.
Bottom line is it is all person and situation depending for me. |

Absolutely. Always met someone and given them a big hug. We've usually been chatting for a while so I feel like I know them fairly well already.
The hug is just my way of greeting someone I've been really looking forward to meeting.
I'm sure I hugged KG when I met him

i definitely want to hug person who i decided to meet after some chatting becahse we probbably shared some intimate things before meeting, and i am good in seeing who match me, and probably on other side is person who apriciates my hug to feel more relaxed. other than that i am person who loves to hug and kiss when meeting my friends. |

Nope, over the years I’ve unfortunately met some scruffy, unshowered, smelly and downright creepy men for a coffee - thankfully agreed as a social only one advance
They will be absolutely definitely no physical contact with me on any meet unless I instigate it |
