Was having a conversation with my friend today, I’m not quite sure how the topic came up, but anyway. So this vet was saying that people should really watch what they call their pets, in accordance to their surname. The only real time the pets whole name will be called out, is at the vets…. So, one of her clients has a new cat…… they named it… Pussy…. Vet is less than impressed at having to call out the full name in a full waiting room…. Pussy Trollope….

What embarrassing names have you heard cats/dogs/other animals or perhaps people themselves known as? I once met a drugs doctor, (I was a bit lost in a hospital & couldn’t find the way out) the drs name was Dr Cocaine

Oh that reminds me, I once saw a lawyer called Mrs Horsfall….. I was there to see if I could make a claim on the owner of a riding school when a horse I was riding, fell on me & broke my hip. Killed my career in horses.

I saw a poster for a missing cat called Missy. I took it as evidence that nominative determinism applies to pets.

One of my cats is called Nick Furry, when I brought him to the vet once they dropped the Furry and used my surname... sounded like they were looking for an accountant

My mum use to call her cat that. Time and again I had to pull her up about it because I could hear her at the bottom of the garden!
